Flamengo will present Tite as new coach this Monday (16). The Press Conference will be at Ninho do Urubu and is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm (Brasília time). Previously, the event would take place at the club's headquarters, in the Rio neighborhood of Gávea, because the professional is known and respected internationally.
As a general rule, presentations by coaches and players who arrive at Mengão take place at Ninho do Urubu. There were many coaches who came to the club in recent years and they all had their respective press conferences at the Training Center. However, the red and black board had thought about 'breaking' this 'rule' for Tite.
The former coach of the Brazilian team would be the exception for several reasons. Firstly, he was in charge of the 'Amarelinha' team for six years, until December 2022, and, since leaving, he has not taken over any other club. Flamengo is his first experience with a Brazilian team since 2015, when he left Corinthians. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning the fact that many international journalists would have sought out Flamengo's representatives, seeking a place in the long-awaited press conference.
Even with all these factors, which could make the event something more 'special', the club decided to keep the press conference in its traditional location. It is worth remembering that, initially, the coach's presentation press conference was scheduled to take place this Tuesday (17), starting at 1:00 pm (Brasília time). However, the club brought the event forward by one day and even changed the time.
Tite was announced as the new coach on October 9th, last Monday, but has not yet spoken to journalists about his plans for Mais Querido. For those who want to follow all the details, the entire event will be broadcast on FlaTV's YouTube channel.
Due to the FIFA Date of October, Flamengo's game calendar received a gap of 'free days', which were great for Tite to have plenty of time to prepare the team. His debut with the Manto Sagrado will be against Cruzeiro, at Estádio Mineirão, in the 27th round of the Brasileirão, and is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm (Brasília time), on the 19th (Thursday). p>

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region.
