There is suspicion that Carioca may have hindered Mengo in the competition, as they debuted in Carioca's finals and have been worn down by the sequence of games. But none of that bothers Fábio Mahseredjian, according to the professional's interview with the Trivela portal. The physical trainer on Tite's coaching staff believes that the squad was assembled with exactly that in mind.

The high-level players who are usually on the bench arrived for moments like this. Léo Ortiz, for example, is one of those names. “No, it didn’t hurt anything. The Flamengois a big club that wants to win all the competitions it competes in. This physical wear and tear is natural. All teams have it. Now, we have enough cast to supplant that. The intensity of the game has increased, and this makes the athlete wear out more”, he says, before explaining the choice made by those left out.

“There is no way to measure tiredness. To determine the athletes' physical wear and tear, their physical demands, we monitor each one's minutes. This monitoring is rigorously described in a spreadsheet, and Tadashi (Hara, physiologist) monitors us with their metric demands in the games, in addition to the responses of each individual athlete, with regard to biochemical dosage. All of this makes us make some decisions, but nothing is just one thing, it is always multifactorial”, he explains.

Regardless of what the physical trainer, the truth is that Tite chose to spare seven athletes in the match against Bolívar, this Wednesday (24), for the Libertadores, in which the players on the field felt great fatigue due to the altitude and ended up losing 2-1.

Mais Querido's next commitment is Botafogo. With all the athletes available, with the exception of Cebolinha, Tite begins this Friday morning (26) preparing the squad for the classic against Botafogo. This way, players will only have two days to prepare.

This Wednesday (22), Flamengo faces Amazonas, for the second game of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. The match hasn't even taken place yet, but it is already involved in controversy, as the home club was notified by Procon and Consumer Protection for the abusive price of tickets. Roberto Peggy, CEO of Amazonas, tried to justify what happened.

“It's for the moral issue of you not allowing your stadium to be taken over by fans of the visiting team and you have the embarrassment of being booed inside your stadium. own home, because the opposing crowd is bigger. That's why we allocated 10% of the stadium to Flamengo fans only and we want people from Amazonas to come and watch the game”, he said, in an interview with 'Jornal O Globo'.

The fact is that the “moral issue ” mentioned by him generated tickets with prices ranging between R$150 and R$1,500 to watch the confrontation. And precisely the exorbitant values caught the attention of authorities that regulate consumer abuse.

At the time the prices were announced, the Consumer Protection Commission of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas, through President Mário César Filho, defined the practice as “unacceptable”.

“It is unacceptable that fans are exploited with exorbitant prices that violate the principles of democratic access to sport. We cannot tolerate the practice of abuses that harm consumers and disregard current legislation. We are vigilant and will ensure that citizens' rights are strictly protected”, said Mário.

In addition to using the “moral” part of the confrontation to justify the high value of tickets, the CEO of Amazonas states that The strategy is to ensure that Toca da Onça fans not only watch the show, but also start contributing to the club's daily life through the membership plan. The point is that, with the stance adopted, the only thing Roberto has achieved, so far, are complaints and notifications.

“We hope that the fan will be able to join the partner or, if he just wants to participate in a show and doesn't want to commit to the club, he pays a slightly higher price to see Flamengo, which is a fair price, since Flamengo hasn't been to the state for 50 years. The stadium may be empty, but it must be empty of Flamengo fans and Amazonians are the majority”, said Peggy.

Flamengo in Manaus 2024

Regardless of restriction of 10% of the stadium to red and black fans, which is actually law in Brazilian football, it is true that Manaus will stop to follow Flamengo, whether inside the Arena da Amazônia, or outside it. The team arrived in the state under a high flow of fans and a lot of expectations.

Another factor worth highlighting is that this year Fla went to Manaus, when they faced Audax, in the Carioca Championship. On that occasion, more than 44 thousand people were present at the Arena da Amazônia, and the match had revenue of R$6,574,690.00, with tickets between R$150 and R$600. In other words, even the CEO's own argument about 'Flamengo hasn't been to the state for 50 years' fell apart.

With controversies off the field, but an expectation of a calm game without complaints within the four lines, Flamengo and Amazonas face each other this Wednesday (22). The ball will roll at 9:30 pm (Brasília time).

Flamengo has the advantage on the scoreboard as they won the first match 1-0, at Maracanã. The match is worth a place in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, whose opponent will be defined by draw – no date has yet been defined by the CBF.

German champions for the first time in history and two games away from completing an entire season without suffering a single defeat, Bayer Leverkusen has become the sensation of European football despite having a salary bill similar to that of Flamengo.

According to "Capology", a website that is a reference in financial matters in international football, Atalanta's opponent in the Europa League final, today, from 4pm (Brasília time), spends 63.4 million euros (R $352.3 million) per season with player remuneration.

The value is very similar to the cost of the Flamengo squad. Last year, the richest club in Brazil used R$339 million of its budget to pay salaries. In 2024, the tendency is for this cost to rise at least a little.

Poor... for Europe

With the salary bill at the same level as of a Brazilian team, Leverkusen spends much less on the football department than clubs that were surpassed on the field by them throughout the season.

Bayern Munich, owner of a hegemony of 11 years in the Bundesliga until being beaten by Xabi Alonso's men, paying 273.4 million euros per year (R$ 1.5 billion) and salaries. The expenditure of Borussia Dortmund, Germany's representative in the Champions League decision, is around 121.3 million euros (R$ 673.3 million).

In addition to them, RB Leipzig also has a more expensive squad than the "aspirin team": 87.8 million euros (R$ 487.3 million). In other words, Leverkusen, which has already made history due to its performance in the current season, is only the fourth most expensive team in Germany.

Most expensive players

< According to "Capology", Spanish left-back Alejandro Grimaldo and Czech center forward Patrik Schick are Leverkusen's two highest-paid players. The salary of each of them (6 million euros per season, or R$33.3 million) exceeds that of any Flamengo athlete. Making history

Leverkusen's unbeaten run has now lasted 51 matches and is the longest in the history of European football.

The German team lost for the last time in their farewell to the last edition of the German Bundesliga (3-0 to Bochum, on May 27th). Afterwards, they accumulated 42 wins and had nine draws.

To complete an entire unbeaten season, Leverkusen only needs to "survive" two more games: the Europa League final and the German Cup final, against Kaiserslautern, from the second division, on Saturday.

If they don't lose any of these games (not even on penalties), Leverkusen will also close 2023/24 with three titles, as they were crowned German champions in the middle April, with five advance rounds.

The match between Flamengo and Millonarios in the last round of the Libertadores group stage will not be broadcast on Globo. The game that will take place on the 28th, Tuesday, will be televised by ESPN and Star+. The ball rolls at 9pm (Brasília time), the same time that Bolívar will be hosting Palestino in La Paz.

In case of victory at Maracanã, Flamengo will already be classified for the round of 16. However, if they draw, they will have to hope that Bolívar doesn't lose to Palestino. In the event of Mengão's defeat, the red and black fans will support Bolívar to beat the Chileans. But it is worth mentioning that Flamengo will face an eliminated Millonarios with no chance of even finishing third (place in the South American Championship).

Away from the club in the final round, Globo broadcast three Flamengo games in the current Libertadores: victory against Palestino by 2-0 at Maracanã, defeat by 2-1 against Bolívar in La Paz and defeat by the Bolivians in Rio de Janeiro by 4-0.

< /p>

To qualify first, Flamengo must beat Millonarios. If If this happens, Fla would go to 10 points and have a goal difference of at least 5. However, Rubro-Negro would need to support Palestino to defeat Bolívar in La Paz. In this scenario, Mengão would tie with the Bolivians on points , but it would surpass by balance.

Regardless of whether it comes first or second, from the round of 16 Globo will have priority and will be able to choose new Flamengo games, in agreement with Conmebol.
