SEVILLA WANTS A FLAMENGO ATTACKER AND IS WAITING FOR THE ATHLETE FOR 2025

Gabigol, from Flamengo, will not be on the field for the rest of 2024. This is the final decision, so far , for one of the greatest strikers of recent years in Brazilian football.

The player was punished for bad behavior during the anti-doping test. Although the sentence is two years, it only begins to be counted after the accusation, which occurred in April 2023.

The club is even looking for an attacking option and considers Gabigol a promising possibility. However, the team is not willing to wait a year to count on him. This would be the main barrier to an agreement.

Therefore, if Gabigol is unable to reverse his situation, the transfer seems unlikely. He has played in European football, including stints at Benfica and Inter Milan.

In Brazilian football, the center forward also had two successful spells with Santos, the club where he was revealed. In 2024, Flamengo's number 10 played just eight games, scoring two goals.
