The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) judged, this Friday (11), the requests presented by Vasco and Corinthians regarding the change of dates of the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. Despite the arguments presented by the two clubs, the court rejected the request and maintained the clashes scheduled for October 19th and 20th.

The reporting auditor, Maxwell Borges de Moura Vieira, took a stand against the requests as he understood that there was no harm to the clubs and said that there had already been several changes to the calendar. The other auditors followed their colleague's vote.

UNDERSTAND THE CASE

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) had initially scheduled the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil for the middle of the week, on October 17th. However, Flamengo and Atlético-MG requested a change in dates, claiming that they could face the knockout games with < b>absences due to the call-ups for the FIFA Date.

In view of this, the CBF responded to Flamengoand Atlético-MG and rescheduled the games for the 19th and 20th of October. However, Vasco and Corinthians were not satisfied with the change and appealed to the STJD, which, this Friday (11), rejected the process, maintaining the changed dates.
