SUCCESS! LUDMILLA IS DESCRIBED AS 'NEXT BRAZILIAN POP STAR' BY BRITISH NEWSPAPER

After a double performance at Coachella, Ludmilla gained prominence in the international press when she appeared in the British newspaper The Guardian, published this Tuesday (30).

The interview with the Brazilian elects her as one of the “Beyoncé’s favorite” singers. The international pop diva recorded an audio that was used to open Ludmilla's show at Coachella.

“The most listened to black artist in Brazil and one of Beyoncé's favorites, Ludmilla gained a new audience after her show viral at Coachella”, opens the newspaper article, which cites the singer as “Brazil’s next big pop star”. “She talks about the racism and homophobia she has faced to get this far,” adds the publication.

“She is following the guide to pop stardom, aiming for an international career. With a repertoire of songs in Portuguese, inspired by the raw sound of Brazilian baile funk and also pagode [a modern branch of samba], Ludmilla has already won a Latin Grammy and has become the most listened to black artist in Brazil, and one of the only women of Afro-Latin heritage to reach one billion streams on Spotify and perform a set on the main stage at Coachella”, says an excerpt from the article.

The report also emphasizes the amount invested in the performance (around 1 .2 million pounds – R$8 million). “I had 45 minutes to show the world who Ludmilla is,” said the singer. “I had a goal and I achieved it – this week I have already received several invitations for [musical] collaborations”, he continued.
