Flamengo continues to invest in improving the George Helal Training Center, popularly known as Ninho do Urubu. Since opening in 2018, the venue has undergone constant improvements, including the addition of new fields and modern facilities. Currently, the complex has nine training fields, with ambitious plans for future expansion, including the construction of a mini stadium.

In exclusive information brought by Mundo Rubro Negro, reporter Matheus Celani revealed that a FIFA delegation will be visiting Ninho do Urubu this Thursday, February 7th. This group, which will include representatives from the Italian company Limonta, responsible for installing the pitch on field nine of the complex, will be led by the company's president.


FIFA'S ARRIVAL IN CT

Field nine, delivered at the end of 2023, was a significant addition to the infrastructure of Urubu's Nest. This field is part of the training center's expansion plan, which aims to reach a total of 20 fields in the future. However, to achieve this goal, Flamengo will have to acquire more space around the complex.

In addition to the training fields, the Flamengoplans to transform Ninho do Urubu into a multifunctional venue, including games for women's and grassroots football. In this sense, a project is underway to build a mini stadium, with capacity for around two thousand people in the stands. The club intends to equip the stadium with synthetic grass, aiming to make better use of the space for various purposes.

The FIFA visit and Flamengo's continued investments in Ninho do Urubu highlight the club's commitment to provide world-class facilities for its athletes and staff, as well as demonstrating its long-term vision for the development of football in all its aspects.
