Last Wednesday (18), representatives from Flamengo and Caixa Econômica Federal held another meeting to resolve the impasse surrounding the Gasologista land, acquired by the club in July. The meeting had the support of Rio de Janeiro City Hall and the Attorney General's Office (AGU), and a new meeting scheduled for next week, in Brasília, could seal the definitive agreement. The information was released by journalist Diogo Dantas, from the newspaper "O Globo".

Mengão's board of directors, represented by president Rodolfo Landim, vice-general Rodrigo Dunshee, CEO Reinaldo Belotti and vice-president of equity Marcos Bodin, was optimistic about the possibility of a solution soon. Caixa questions the amount paid by the club at the land auction, but everything indicates that an additional amount could resolve the legal conflict by next month.

INVOLVEMENT OF THE CITY OF RIO

The meeting was also attended by deputy Pedro Paulo and the club's director of external relations, Cacau Cotta, who have acted as intermediaries between the club and the mayor from Rio, Eduardo Paes. In August, a meeting involving the bank's president, Carlos Vieira, president Lula and mayor Eduardo Paes had already signaled the path to an agreement.

IMPORTANCE OF THE AGREEMENT FOR FLAMENGO

Mais Querido's director of external relations, Cacau Cotta, highlighted that the agreement is the ideal way to give peace of mind to the club. "For the club, a good agreement is always better than an eternal discussion about values. The land has already been expropriated. The agreement is ideal to eliminate any doubts and for Flamengo to have the necessary peace of mind to begin the work", said Cotta.

This Thursday (19), Flamengo hosts Peñarol (URU) at Maracanã, at 7pm (Brasília time), in a match valid for the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores da América. In search of a good advantage for the second leg, coach Tite will have to deal with several important absences in the red and black squad.

Peñarol coach, Diego Aguirre, defined the starting lineup for the match decisive. With no important absences, the Uruguayan team takes to the field with: Aguerre; Léo Coelho, Javier Méndez, Guzmán Rodríguez; Pedro Milans, Eduardo Darías, Damián García, Javier Cabrera, Léo Fernández, Maximiliano Olivera; and Maximiliano Silvera.

Aguirre will have almost his entire squad at his disposal. The only player out of the match is Damian Suarez, who has not yet had his name regularized after his recent arrival at the Uruguayan club. However, Suarez's absence is not a concern, as the coach has a complete squad for the clash against Mengão. b>

On the other hand, Mais Querido has to deal with six confirmed absences. Cebolinha, Pedro, Luiz Araújo, Gabigol, Michael and Viña are out of the match, all due to injuries. These absences complicate the formation of coach Tite, who will have to adjust the team to seek a good result playing at home.

Flamengo there is already a probable lineup defined for the classic against Vasco. The expectation is that the coach will choose a formation with Rossi in goal; Varela on the right side; Fabrício Bruno and Léo Pereira in defense; Alex Sandro on the left flank. The midfield should be made up of Erick Pulgar, Léo Ortiz, Gerson and Arrascaeta, while the attack will be formed by Bruno Henrique and Luiz Araújo.

This formation suggests a combination of experience and strength in all areas of the field. In the defensive sector, Rossi, known for his good performances in goal, should be responsible for commanding the defensive line. At his side, Varela, who has been showing regularity, will occupy the right flank, while the defense will be made up of Fabrício Bruno and Léo Pereira. Both have stood out in recent matches and guarantee solidity in the defensive sector. Closing the line of four, Alex Sandro, a left-back with great movement, should complete the defense.

FLAMENGO GOES TO ALL OR NOTHING

In midfield, the presence of Erick Pulgar and Léo Ortiz indicates a bet on players who offer both protection to the defense and the ability to distribute the game. Pulgar is a midfielder who plays a crucial role in the defensive transition, while Ortiz, despite being a defender by origin, should be used in midfield, which could be an interesting strategy to reinforce the marking. Gerson , with his versatility and quality in releasing the ball, and Arrascaeta, known for his creativity and ability to set up plays, complete the midfield, promising dynamism and control.

No attack, Bruno Henrique, a fundamental piece in the squad and a reference for his speed and presence in the area, should be alongside Luiz Araújo, who has been gaining space and could surprise with his finishing and movement ability. This formation also makes the balance between defense and attack clear. Flamengo is looking for a team that can be solid in defense, with good ball play, and at the same time efficient in attack, with quick and objective plays.
