Flamengo beat Fluminense 2-0 on Sunday (25), at Maracanã, in the tenth round of the Campeonato Carioca. With the result, Mais Querido reached 24 points and, therefore, Tite can achieve the feat of Jorge Jesus at Rubro-Negro. This is because, the only time that Flamengo exceeded 26 points in the Guanabara Cup was in the 2020 season, led by Jorge Jesus.

On that occasion, Rubro-Negro reached the 28 mark, with nine wins, one draw and a defeat. Since then, Mais Querido finished the first phase of the tournament with 23 (2021), 26 (2022) and 23 (2023) points. Now with Tite, Flamengo can reach the 27-point mark, with eight wins and three draws.

It is worth highlighting that Mais Querido used Garotos do Ninho in two rounds of Carioca, as the main team traveled to the United States, with the aim of carrying out the pre-season. The main team takes the field this Saturday (02), against Madureira, in the last round of the Guanabara Cup.

TITE 'BEATS' JESUS

Tite surpassed Jorge Jesus in terms of performance in the first 20 games ahead of Rubro-Negro, this Sunday, after the classic. The former Brazilian national team played 20 games for Flamengo and achieved a success rate of 73.3%. Meanwhile, Jorge Jesus achieved 70% in the same period. In other words, the current coach of Clube da Gávea surpassed the Portuguese's performance at the beginning of his work.

Beyond 73 .3% success rate, Flamengo reached 37 goals scored with Tite. In the current season, Mais Querido's main squad has not yet conceded goals in official games and, therefore, has the best attack and the least leaky defense in the Carioca Championship.
