Após uma temporada histórica em 2025, o Flamengo confirmou o favoritismo também fora de campo. A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol divulgou, na manhã desta quarta-feira (24), véspera de Natal, a atualização do Ranking Nacional de Clubes (RNC), e o Rubro-Negro aparece novamente na liderança.
A lista leva em consideração o desempenho dos clubes em competições organizadas pela própria CBF, atribuindo pontuação com base em participações e resultados ao longo das últimas temporadas. Mesmo em anos sem títulos relevantes, o Flamengo já figurava no topo, cenário que se manteve após um calendário recheado de conquistas. Com isso, o clube carioca lidera o ranking pelo sexto ano consecutivo e não deixa a primeira colocação desde o início do atual ciclo dominante no futebol brasileiro.
A principal mudança no ranking de 2025 aconteceu logo atrás do líder. O Corinthians assumiu a segunda colocação, ultrapassando o Palmeiras, que caiu para o terceiro lugar. Vice do Brasileirão e da Libertadores diante do Flamengo e sem títulos estaduais na temporada, o clube paulista perdeu pontos importantes.
Embora o Campeonato Paulista e a Libertadores não entrem diretamente no cálculo do ranking, os desempenhos nas competições nacionais explicam a troca de posições. Campeão da Copa do Brasil, o Corinthians passou a ser o clube mais próximo do Rubro-Negro na pontuação geral.
Encerrada a temporada, o objetivo agora é manter o nível de excelência em 2026. Além das competições tradicionais, o Flamengo terá a Recopa Sul-Americana, diante do Lanús, como mais um título em disputa logo no início do ano.
Em 2025, o clube conquistou praticamente tudo o que disputou, deixando apenas a Copa do Brasil para o Corinthians. No cenário internacional, ficou muito perto de um feito ainda maior, mas acabou derrotado pelo PSG nos pênaltis na final do Mundial de Clubes.
Ao longo do ano, o Rubro-Negro levantou os troféus do Campeonato Carioca, Supercopa do Brasil, Brasileirão, Libertadores, Dérbi das Américas e Challenger Cup. Agora, a meta é ampliar a coleção, incluindo Recopa, Copa do Brasil e Mundial, em busca de uma temporada sem precedentes no futebol brasileiro.

O presidente do Flamengo, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, o Bap, se reuniu com o Conselho Deliberativo do clube na noite desta terça-feira (23) para tratar do planejamento da temporada 2026. Durante o encontro, o dirigente comentou o debate em torno dos investimentos no futebol feminino e criticou questionamentos feitos pela jornalista Renata Mendonça, da TV Globo.
Ao abordar o tema, Bap citou a evolução da modalidade em termos de audiência, mas destacou a diferença estrutural em relação ao futebol masculino e apontou a distribuição dos recursos de transmissão como um dos entraves.
“Quais são os fatos? Audiência crescente. Se compara com o futebol masculino? Não, mas não pode ser essa diferença. A TV fica com os lucros do pacote de marketing e não distribuiu aos clubes”, afirmou o presidente, durante a reunião.
Na sequência, o dirigente fez referência direta à jornalista, em tom crítico, ao comentar as cobranças sobre os investimentos do clube no futebol feminino: “Tem lá a nariguda da Globo que fica falando mal da gente e tudo mais, do futebol, que não estimula… dá vontade de falar: ‘convença a sua empresa a colocar 10 milhões, 20 milhões por ano em direitos de transmissão que a coisa fica melhor’. Pau que dá em João tem que bater em Maria também”, completou.
Em outubro deste ano, Renata Mendonça publicou, por meio do portal Dibradoras, um vídeo mostrando a estrutura de treinos da equipe feminina do Flamengo. Na ocasião, a jornalista questionou os investimentos realizados pela atual gestão na modalidade.
O conteúdo ganhou grande repercussão nas redes sociais ao expor problemas estruturais no centro de treinamento utilizado pelas jogadoras. As imagens mostravam vestiários com necessidade de manutenção, pisos quebrados e sujos. Em outro momento do vídeo, ao abrir a torneira de uma pia, a água apresentou coloração escura, com aspecto barrento.
O episódio ampliou o debate sobre investimentos, estrutura e responsabilidade institucional no desenvolvimento do futebol feminino no Brasil. Após a repercussão das falas do presidente rubro-negro, a TV Globo divulgou uma nota oficial em defesa da jornalista.
“A Globo repudia o ataque gratuito e misógino do dirigente do Flamengo a uma de suas profissionais e reitera seu profundo respeito às mulheres e a opiniões críticas que não ofendam nem insultem quem quer que seja”, afirmou a emissora.

Após detalhar os feitos do primeiro ano de gestão, o dirigente abordou, fora da transmissão oficial, o andamento das negociações com o treinador.

O vínculo de Filipe Luís com o clube é válido até 31 de dezembro deste ano, e a intenção do Flamengo é estender o contrato. No entanto, ainda existem entraves nas tratativas que vão além da questão salarial. O principal ponto de divergência envolve a cláusula de saída, já que o treinador não esconde o desejo de voltar a trabalhar no futebol europeu no futuro.
