Flamengo went to the field on Wednesday night (17), when defeated São Paulo 2-1, in the second round of the Brazilian Championship. For the match at Maracanã, Tite decided to spare Arrascaeta. At the end of the game, the Rubro-Negro coach explained the reason for the Uruguayan's absence.
"Flamengo played ten games there in Goiás. They had lost five, drawn three and won two. It's very difficult play. Due to the quality of the opponent, the weather, the time. You can't impose the strongest pace. Sometimes the weather interferes. Today we had to take Arrascaeta off. “Ah, he took the team's 10,” he said, before continuing:
