Bruno Henrique trusts in partnership with Arrascaeta to seek another Libertadores at Flamengo

The meeting comes after cases of fights within the club and to settle edges before the game in the Brasileirão
|
0Flamengo's squad met this Friday (18) at CT Ninho do Urubu after training. All the players had a collective conversation, which aimed to settle edges between them so that the performance remains good. With two recent cases of aggression at the club, the internal climate was strange. However, the recent victory over Grêmio relaxed the players and the next match is already this Sunday against Coritiba.
Flamengo has had a rather turbulent few weeks in the last month. Pedro was attacked by Sampaoli's right-hand man (fitness coach Pable Fernández), the team failed to win three straight games (against Cuiabá, Olimpia and São Paulo), were eliminated from the Libertadores and Gerson and Varela fought intensely this week, on Tuesday (15). The Uruguayan left the discussion with a broken nose.
All this created great anxiety within the club and even the fans began to feel the effects. On top of that, Flamengo had a big decision this Wednesday (16). The team was going to play the second leg of the semifinal of the Copa do Brasil against Grêmio, in a not so favorable climate.
Different from what many predicted, the Mais Querido won and established its place for the final of the competition. In addition, Gerson and Varela settled their relationship on the morning of Wednesday (16), understanding that both had gone too far in the fight. The atmosphere at Ninho was already so much lighter that the board decided not to punish Gerson and Varela, who would be fined.
Mutual forgiveness made his teammates happy, as did the conversation between the coach and the number 9. Since the case of aggression, Jorge Sampaoli still hadn't stopped to talk to the star. The two had a quiet chat about it this week too, closing yet another open door.
So, this Friday's conversation (18) was already amid laughter and joy, rather than the enmity and stress that surrounded them lately. In all the speeches it was admitted that the mistakes made so far are not justified nor can they hinder Flamengo in the attempt to close the year with a title. Therefore, there was a kind of pact in search of a positive sequence in the Brasileirão so that confidence persists until the final of the Copa do Brasil, against São Paulo, at the end of September.
The next match of the Mias Querido is already this Sunday (20). In the battle for the Brasileirão, Flamengo will face Coritiba at 4 pm, in Paraná. The game begins the second round of the competition - in the 20th round - and the red-black team is 15 points behind the leader, Botafogo.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. Check it out:
"The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
Match starts at 7pm this Thursday

Red-black team remains eight points behind leader Botafogo
|
0Last Sunday (15), Flamengo and Vasco drew 1-1, at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. The result, although frustrating for the red and blacks, who dominated much of the match, kept them eight points behind leader Botafogo.
Mais Querido entered the field imposing his pace and controlling the actions for most of the game. The red-black goal was scored by Gerson, who has been standing out in recent matches. However, CRF conceded the draw in the final minutes, which prevented a more significant approach to the classification table.
Even with the difference in points for Botafogo, the technical committee, led by Tite, devised a strategy focused on keeping the team competitive until the last rounds. According to information from the Coluna do Fla portal, the objective is to arrive "alive" in the fight for the title in the final five rounds. Matheus Bachi, assistant coach, believes that the recent good performance against Bahia and Vasco could be an indication that the team is on the right track to fight for the top again.
While trying to get closer to the leaders in the Brasileirão, Mengão is already preparing for the next challenge in the Libertadores. The team will face Peñarol, at Maracanã, in the quarterfinals of the continental tournament. The Rio team is looking for a good result at home before traveling to Uruguay for the second leg next week.
