Tz da Coronel, one of the biggest names in national rap, continues to surprise and delight his fans. Accumulating more than two billion reproductions on digital platforms and confirmed as one of the attractions of Rock in Rio, the rapper is preparing to release his newest album, "Direto da Selva", at the end of June. In an exclusive interview with DIA, the artist talks about the current moment of his professional life and gives spoilers about the new project.
"I can't say much yet about my new album, but I can say that it will have 14 surprise tracks and feats, bringing a mix of Tz from the 'old testament', as you say, with the current Tz, who always seeks to bring new things. Soon, you'll all see", he tells his fans. The production promises to be a milestone in the artist's career.
"This album is a faithful portrait of the daily battles we face. I wanted to bring the reality of the stone jungle that is life. Each track is like a story of survival, and I want everyone to feel the truth and the emotion behind the lyrics", says the rapper.
SUCCESS OF THE FIRST SINGLE
"Direto da Selva" arrives full of expectations, especially after the enormous success of the first single, "Qual é Seu Quero?", which reached more than one million plays on Spotify in the first 24 hours of release, in addition to being ranked first on the digital platform in Brazil and second in Portugal.
"For me, this represents trap breaking bubbles, winning over people who have no direct connection with the genre, mainly because it is a song with a unique trap language. Seeing many people identifying with the track It shows the power of the favela dweller's mind and what we can cause in the world with our creativity", declares Tz da Coronel.

Following the trail of the drug, the Federal Police (PF) would later conclude that its owner was Bruno Santana Silva, “Firmeza”, a drug dealer appointed as a supplier to Comando Vermelho (CV).
Owner of luxury cars and mansions, the Flamengo fan was known for being an expansive guy, presented himself as a businessman, and is a partner of rapper TZ da Coronel, who has more than six million monthly listeners on streaming platforms.
The artist's agency, as well as an internet company, according to the PF, are part of a life of legal businesses that serve as a front for an alleged drug kingpin. The musician was never investigated for the crimes attributed to his partner. Even after the arrest, “Firmeza” and the rapper maintained their friendly relationship. They continued to be partners in the company that takes care of the artist's image, called Tropa da TZ.
A young man of 21, Matheus de Araújo Santos, TZ da Coronel, is a trap phenomenon in Brazil. He has millions of followers and listeners on streaming. He was named as a defense witness in the criminal action for drug trafficking, money laundering and criminal organization for which “Firmeza” is responsible. He told the court that they had known each other for years, due to the businessman's role in managing artists, and that the company in which they are both partners has no involvement in illicit activities.
In an interview with the Metrópoles portal, TZ states that the indictment of his partner Bruno Santana Silva, “Firmeza”, has no relation whatsoever to the activities of the company TZ da Coronel Produções Artísticas Ltda., which “has been working for years in the market of artistic activities and live shows, with business activity absolutely lawful and regular operation.”
