Vivi Noronha, influencer and wife of MC Poze , spoke out on her social media this past Thursday (29) about the singer's arrest. The funk singer was detained by agents of the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro and is accused of maintaining a "solid relationship" with members of the criminal faction Comando Vermelho (CV).
Through her Instagram stories, she shared a protest made by Oruam , a friend of Poze, who published a photo of the funk singer's three children with the caption: “ Explain to a child why his hero lives behind bars ”.
Vivi Noronha also pointed to persecution and prejudice as possible motivations for her husband’s arrest: “ They distract the population from what really matters. They distract them from people who really should be arrested and from the mess that Brazil is in! I have observed that the richer the poor (especially the favela dwellers) get, the more they follow them like butchers! Don’t get distracted, don’t believe the media!!! ”, she wrote.
The influencer also told her followers how the police approached her, stating that she was prevented from holding her daughter and that Poze was not allowed to put on a shirt.
“ It was humiliating, it was inhumane and it was cruel. There was no humility, there was no compassion for us, our children. That’s what you are: you take away the hope of the black people living in the favelas. You didn’t even have the minimum, which was education! ” he said.
