Xuxa, who is from Santa Rosa (RS), has dedicated herself to sharing NGOs and organizations that are mobilized to help victims.
"My family is still there, they live in the South Most of the people, my cousins, everyone is there. I'm really distressed because we're watching all this happen and I can't see a future, something like 'tomorrow is over', I don't think we'll get over this issue for long. time in families that have lost not only loved ones, but many have lost their lives, their animals, their land, their stories. This affects me so much that I try to put myself in their shoes because it seems like we can't do anything," she said. the presenter.

She also said that what makes her sad is the political polarization that has been growing amid the chaos in Rio Grande do Sul.
"They are turning this situation into a political fight, on one side and the other, right and left. People They don't see the greatness of what is behind it all, which are lives. This makes me very upset, because human beings are not being human at this moment. I feel quite upset, embarrassed, upset, distressed. And even worse is that I see that things won't stop there", she continued.
"I say it's bad, obviously, being from Rio Grande do Sul, I'm feeling quite [sad], but I think everything The world is also thinking like me, what can we do, what should be done, what has to be done. Now there is not much to do other than pray and ask for the waters to recede, for people to try... There's no word 'normal', you can't go back to normal, but try to stay well, so we can see what else we can do and how we can help.
