0After the end of the FIFA Date, Flamengo returned to the field on Thursday night (19). At the Mineirão stadium, Mais Querido beat Cruzeiro by a score of 2-0. The match marked Tite's debut as Rubro Negro's new coach. In the post-game press conference, the new coach revealed the goals he has in front of the team.
"Flamengo of Flamengo. I tried to have the ability to preserve what Flamengo is historically. What are the characteristics of the players in the squad . It's the work that has to be valued. The coach cannot be overvalued. We, on the committee, have to enhance the athletes, and we don't want great recognition from you. Adjust gears", he said, in a press conference.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido's new coach was officially announced last week, on Monday (09) and presented last Monday (16). Firstly, the coach arrived to replace Jorge Sampaoli, who left the club with a questionable job and controversial performances.
Therefore, Tite will have the mission of classifying the Flamengo team directly for the Libertadores 2024. However, beyond that, the coach needs to regain the players’ trust. Beforehand, the coach highlighted that he is keen to adjust the team's gears.
With the next commitment in sight, the Rubro Negro squad will not have a break. According to journalist Fred Gomes, from GE, the team will perform again at CT Ninho do Urubu this Friday (20), at 3pm. On Saturday (21), the squad will arrive at CT around 2:30 pm, to begin concentration for the classic against Vasco.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Owning the assist for Gerson's goal in the draw with Vasco, last Sunday, Arrascaeta is approaching a historic milestone in the Brazilian Championship. With the assist he provided, the Uruguayan equaled Dudu and is just nine passes behind Marcelinho Carioca, potentially becoming the greatest assist in the history of the competition.
With 68 assists, Arrascaeta is ahead of names like Scarpa , Everton Ribeiro and Zico in statistics. Playing in Brazilian football since 2015, when he arrived at Cruzeiro, the midfielder has already played 218 matches in the Brazilian Championship, 50 of which were assists with the Flamengo shirt. b>
Arrascaeta stands out not only for his assists, but also for his goals. With 55 goals scored, 36 with the Flamengo shirt, the Uruguayan has remained among the best players in the championship since his debut at Cruzeiro.
Champion in 2019 and 2020, the midfielder has been in three of the last five “ideal teams” in the championship. He is currently the third foreigner with the most goals in Brazilian football this century, with 113 goals, behind only Cano and Paolo Guerrero.
