FIRST HALF BUSY

The first half was marked by an intense and disputed game. Early on, Fabiano opened the scoring for Botafogo in a quick counterattack. From then on, the opponent adopted a more defensive posture, making Flamengo's attacks difficult. The Gávea team tried to react with Shola and Lorran, but found it difficult to overcome the rival defense and goalkeeper Cristiano Júnior.

Despite being set back, Botafogo did not fail to create opportunities and forced goalkeeper Dyogo Alves to make good defenses. The first half of the game ended with the score in favor of the black and white team.

SECOND HALF: FLAMENGO'S TURNOVER

After the break, Flamengo returned more organized and determined. Coach Filipe Luís adjusted the strategy, focusing on Lorran's offensive plays. In the 9th minute, the young striker started at speed, dribbled past two markers and finished with precision, tying the game.

Flamengo continued to press and, in a rehearsed move, Zé Welinton scored the turning goal. The full-back executed a perfect free kick, sending the ball into the left corner of the opponent's goal, repeating the feat from the last meeting between the teams.

LOOKS ATTENTIONS OF THE U-20 SELECTION

Lorran's outstanding performance caught the attention of the coach of the Brazilian U-20 team, Ramon Menezes, who was present at the stadium. Lorran, who had already been called up to the national team, should continue to be one of Menezes' bets. Another player who has also been on the coach's list is midfielder Rayan Lucas.

CLASSIFICATION AND NEXT STEPS

With the victory, Flamengo reaches 23 points and remains in seventh place in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The team guarantees a place in the classification zone (G8) and is now hoping for Santos and Ceará to stumble to climb the table.

NEGOTIATIONS THE RENEWAL REMAINS DIFFICULT

However, conversations between Rubro-Negro and the midfielder's representatives remain difficult. According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, it is certain that the new agreement will not be signed this week. Raphael Nunes, under-20 goalkeeper for Flamengo, celebrates a major milestone in his career and personal life. Diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the testicle last year, the young athlete is 100% recovered and is already participating in training without restrictions from the medical department. The expectation is that Raphael will be involved in games again soon, and will finally be able to play his first minutes on the field after a long recovery period of ten months.

Raphael Nunes' trajectory during this period was a lot of determination and overcoming. After the diagnosis, he underwent three intensive months of chemotherapy, from October to December last year. This treatment was crucial for his recovery, allowing him to resume sporting activities in April this year, initially gradually.

FLAMENGO HAS A GOOD RETURN TO THE CLUB

Raphael began his return to training by doing separate activities on the field. This process was necessary for him to regain his physical shape and confidence before fully reintegrating into the group. During these training sessions, the coaching staff, especially the goalkeeper trainers, highly praised the young man's progress. They highlight Raphael's commitment and dedication at each stage of his recovery.

Even during treatment, Raphael did not completely withdraw from the club environment. As soon as he received medical clearance to carry out activities at the gym, he returned to the Ninho do Urubu Training Center, which was essential to maintain his physical shape and prepare for his return to the pitch.
