On April 22 of this year, a Flamengo judo athlete formally denounced assistant coach Renan Moutinho for sexual harassment. A letter was delivered to Gávea's Human Resources department with details of several episodes of the professional's behavior. The text also reports that such conduct was also practiced with other athletes and club members.

The athlete alleges in the document that the assistant, on several occasions, spoke inappropriately publicly and with a clear sexual nature in the club's work environment. In one of the episodes, the judoka says that Renan, in front of other athletes, said that “the best kiss of his life was with a lesbian couple” and “that lesbian women know how to satisfy a person and that his dream is to make a 'ménage' with a couple of lesbian women”, in a clear reference to her and her girlfriend, who is also a Flamengo judo professional. According to her, this would have occurred during training.

In another episode, with a similar context, the letter describes that Renan addressed her to talk about the bodies of other athletes: “that the athlete… has the biggest body, who is a big woman“, “with all due respect“. Similar comments were also made online.

She continues: “Another episode absolutely incompatible with the training environment and club space, Renan Moutinho commented on his previous relationship, without me having asked or demonstrated any interest. He wanted to tell me details about his sexual intimacy with his ex-wife and how they interacted in bed. On other occasions, he showed me the profiles of some women on social media, asking me what I thought of them, with a clear sexual intention and approach. In these situations, I asked myself what I would do if I met these women. All these very disrespectful comments”, he concludes.

The athlete kept the situations that occurred in the first months of 2024 a secret. The first person she shared the story with was her girlfriend, who, outraged, missed training. led by Renan, without the presence of other professionals, and insisted that something be done.

On April 8, the athlete revealed the entire situation experienced in recent months to Fla psychologist Adriana Lacerda, who requested authorization to inform head coach Rosicléia Campos. The following day, the judoka and her girlfriend would be with the Flamengo delegation for a period of training until the 18th in Pindamonhangaba, in the interior of São Paulo.

The club joined forces with the Brazilian team, aiming to preparation for the Pan American Games and the Paris Olympic Games. On April 5, via WhatsApp, one of the athletes, fearing Renan's possible presence, directly questioned manager João Pântano about which coaches would be on the trip. The coach was questioned by another athlete in a group. As reported by them, they received information that two coaches would participate, but their names were not revealed.

On Saturday afternoon (28), Flamengo held its last training session before facing Athletico-PR in the Brasileirão. A clash that could decide the future of coach Tite at Mengão, was attended by all the players considered to be starters, despite the expectation of a mixed team for Sunday (29).

In content published on social media of Flamengo, names like Bruno Henrique and Alex Sandro, who were starters in the Libertadores elimination, last Thursday (26), appear alongside young fledglings, such as Matheus Gonçalves and Evertton, who have been widely used in the “reserve team ” by Tite.

Flamengo may have held the last training session under Tite's command.

With his destiny becoming more uncertain at Flamengo, Tite may having led his last training session as coach of Rubro-Negro. There are four games without a win, a bad result, or poorly presented football against Athletico-PR, could mean the end of the line for the coach, just under a year after his arrival.

In the semi-finals of Copa do Brasil, where they face Corinthians, and in the G4 of the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro's objective is clear, to become CdB champion, and remain in the classification zone for the next Libertadores in the points championship.
