Atlético de Madrid congratulates Filipe Luís after his first title as Flamengo coach

Filipe Luís had a successful start to his career as coach of Flamengo. On Sunday (10), Rubro-Negro beat Atlético-MG again and won the fifth title of the Copa do Brasil. After the victory, Filipe Luís received a tribute from Atlético de Madrid, the club where he built an important part of his career. On its social networks, the Spanish club congratulated the former player on his achievement, accompanying the message with a photo of the coach celebrating the title on the Arena MRV lawn.

“Congratulations on the achievement, Fili! Here at Atleti we are all happy with your success and hope that this is just the beginning of a great career as a coach!”, wrote Atlético de Madrid in a post on Instagramof the club.

O Flamengo, por ter vencido a última edição do torneio, chega com prestígio máximo e lidera o contingente de clubes do país na disputa pela taça continental de 2026. Nesta etapa da Copa Libertadores da América, 32 agremiações brigam pela Glória Eterna.

O futebol do Brasil será representado por seis instituições: além do Flamengo, estão na disputa Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Mirassol e Palmeiras. O formato do sorteamento divide todos os participantes em oito grupos. Antes das bolinhas rolarem, as equipes são separadas em quatro potes distintos, seguindo a ordem do ranking da Conmebol.
