Different from what was experienced in 2023, the current season started very promisingly for Flamengo. The victory for 2 0 against Fluminense led Mengão to move up two positions in the ranking of the success of clubs in Série A of the Brasileirão, in the 2024 season. Rubro-Negro reached 80% of the points won. Fla is only behind Internacional, which leads with 83% of the points won.

Flamengo surpassed Atlético-GO and Criciuma in the ranking published by the Sofascore portal this Monday (26). The last survey had been published on Monday, February 19th. The starting team played in eight matches, achieving seven wins and one draw.

Flamengo played 10 official games in 2024, all for the Guanabara Cup. So far, there have been seven wins and three draws. Flamengo's performance far surpasses that of the other three big ones in Rio. Fluminense has 64%, Vasco has 63% and Batafog has 55%.

Among the great national rivals, Flamengo also stands out. Rubro-Negro surpasses Palmeiras (74%), Grêmio (67%), São Paulo (53%), Atlético-MG (52%), Corinthians (39%). The negative highlight is for the black and white team from São Paulo, which runs the risk of being left out of the decisive phase of the state championship.

Flamengo is one draw away from winning the Guanabara Cup. Rubro-Negro has 24 points and is chased by Fluminense and Nova Iguaçu, who have 21 points. Furthermore, Flamengo has a goal difference of 19, while Fluminense has a goal difference of just eight goals and Nova Iguaçu has a goal difference of four goals. Tite achieved something incredible, which was to make a better start to the year than Jorge Jesus, in his first 20 commitments with Fla.

Period!”, published the mayor.
