Mengão lost to Olimpia (PAR) this Thursday (10) by 3 to 1, thus being eliminated from Libertadores. After the painful defeat, a photograph went viral on social networks in which Pedro would be smiling with the result. The player stayed on the bench throughout the match.
In the photograph in question, Pedro has a big smile on his face. You can't see the background of the image very well and you can see that he is wearing the reserve players' vest. In addition, in the image that went viral after the end of the game there is also a clock marking 49 minutes of the second half. However, it is nothing but fake news.
The photograph is of the warm-up even before the match started. On the lawn of Defensores del Chaco, the stadium in Asuncion where the game took place, the number 9 is warming up with the other starters. In the transmission made available by Conmebol to those who watched the clash, the laughter arrived a little after the event, at 8:48 pm, when the team was in the locker room.
