With a long stretch of matches ahead after the return of the national calendar , Flamengo has intensified its focus on the physical health of its players . In addition to physical and tactical preparation, the club relies on the daily work of the medical department to keep the squad in optimal condition. In a video released by Flamengo TV, doctors Fernando Sassaki and Luiz Macedo explained the injury prevention and treatment routine at Ninho do Urubu.

The professional also detailed the internal dynamics of the medical team: " We arrive at the club early and have a meeting with the physiotherapist to assess the progress of the treatments and the progress. Then, we participate in a second meeting," he explained.
Luiz Macedo then added: " This second meeting is interdisciplinary, about an hour before training . We discuss each player's condition, define recovery protocols, and determine who is fit and unfit to participate in activities. When there are specific cases, everything is evaluated jointly."

Rede Globo has selected its team to broadcast the match between Flamengo and Grêmio , this Sunday (31), for the Brazilian Championship. The duel will be shown on national television, with the exception of the state of São Paulo , which will follow Santos x Fluminense, live from Vila Belmiro.
