This Wednesday (10) Flamengo will have his second match for Conmebol Libertadores. The dream is of the title, a fourth championship that would accredit the club to be the biggest winner among Brazilians in the competition. Ahead, three opponents, who finish Group E, with modest CVs in the history of the main club tournament in South America. The rival this time is Palestino(CHI).
This will be the Flamengo's first game at Maracanã, for the Libertadores, will be against the Chilean. Still modest in national football, little by little the team begins to compete in continental competitions. The classification came from inheriting a place from Colo-Colo, which was third in the national league, but was champion of the Chilean Cup.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Flamengo concluded, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (18), at Ninho do Urubu, its preparation for the clash against Peñarol, which will take place tomorrow (19), at 7pm, at Maracanã, in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores . Coach Tite led a tactical training session to define the starters who will start the decisive match.
The team receives good news with the return of De La Cruz, who is fully recovered from a muscle injury and will be available by Tite. Furthermore, reinforcements Alex Sandro, Carlos Alcaraz and Gonzalo Plata, who were recently registered in the competition, will also be ready to reinforce Mais Querido.
On the other hand, Flamengo will be missing striker Luiz Araújo, who will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The player was injured in the first half of the classic against Vasco, last Sunday, and will be absent from the team in the next matches.
Flamengo and Peñarol have faced each other 15 times throughout history, with a total balance. There were six wins for CRF, three draws and six defeats. The last meeting between the teams took place in the 2019 Libertadores, in Montevideo, and ended in a goalless draw.
The match will be broadcast live exclusively on ESPN and Disney+. FlaTV and FlaTV+ will start coverage from 4pm with the pre-game, while the audio narration of the game, at 7pm, will be conducted by a 100% red-black team.
