The time for decision has come. This Thursday (25), Flamengo visits Estudiantes , in La Plata, seeking to confirm qualification for the Libertadores semifinal . Rubro-Negro has not reached this stage since 2022, when it won the continental title.
With just one absence, coach Eduardo Domínguez will have a full complement of players at his disposal . The likely Estudiantes lineup includes: Muslera; Gómez, Nuñez, Rodríguez, Arzamendía; Benedetti, Amondarain, Medina; Tiago Palacios, Guido Carrillo, and Facu Farías.

The goal ended up being decisive for the team's qualification.
In addition to the refereeing, Flamengo will have to deal with pressure from rival fans. Tickets for Estudiantes fans sold out on September 18th , a week in advance. Flamengo , coached by Filipe Luís, has two confirmed absences against Estudiantes: Erick Pulgar is still recovering from surgery on his right foot after a fracture in the fifth metatarsal, while Michael is out due to pain in his left ankle.

On the eve of the Copa Libertadores semifinals final , Flamengo is in great form as they face Estudiantes. Journalist Milly Lacombe believes there's a clear favorite in the match, but also a significant warning for Filipe Luís's team .

Given this performance, Milly considers Flamengo to be far superior to their Argentine opponents: "Flamengo, being emotionally cohesive, is very difficult to come away with a setback. Despite being the favorite, Milly emphasized that the 2-1 lead from the first leg still requires attention: " Flamengo has a lead. It's not a solid one, but it's a lead . They can, of course, come up with a game plan that surprises Flamengo."
