The marathon in the first week as Flamengo coach was intense. Time was scarce. But this is what the FIFA date will bring to Filipe Luís in the next 10 days. After two victories, he wants to work on "adjustments" to improve Flamengo until the next match, against Fluminense, in the Brasileirão. The game will only be on the 17th.

REST

For starters, the technician understands that slack is crucial to give refreshment to players who will not defend their teams. "These players need to clear their heads, which is as important as training", he defined.

FROM VIDEO TO CAMPO

With the group that stays in Rio, Filipe's idea is to work on the field concepts that have already been presented mostly on video in recent days, given the lack of an agenda for denser training. The coach is happy with the players' assimilation of his ideas. The clearest of these is pressure marking, with more intensity and positioning further in the opponent's field.

Filipe sees a team synchronized to score further ahead. On the other hand, Filipe Luís's team is exposed, a risk he admits to taking. Flamengo didn't concede a goal in the last two games, but came very close to it against Corinthians and Bahia.

"I didn't get the chaos, no. It's well worked, and these are adjustments that I want to make to my game model. Training because only video is not enough. With these adjustments in training, I hope to see the team's evolution", said Filipe Luís, about Tite's passing of the baton.

CONFIDENCE

The training They will be important for Filipe to advance in the Gabigol recovery project. It's a physical and confidence issue, in the coach's view. The number 99 was a starter in both games with the new coach. But it didn't hit the net. He had two clear chances, one in each game, and wasted it.

Filipe knows Gabigol well. He's had beef with him in the past, at the same time he saw the number 99's peak up close. The former full-back has already been satisfied with the striker's positioning and movements on the field. But you know you can't stop there.

"The player will have better and worse games. There will be moments with a lot of confidence where he will even exaggerate and there will be moments of very low confidence, like I went through with the Flamengo shirt at the time. Once the ball starts to come in and he can develop further, now we will have time to train him", reports Filipe Luís, about Gabigol.

AIM

At the same time in which Filipe said he did not inherit "chaos" from Tite, Flamengo still has problems "killing" games. And the lack of aim/offensive efficiency has a lot to do with it. In both games, the scores could have been more elastic. This applies not only to the aforementioned Gabigol, but also to players from other sectors. Gerson is one of them, but he will be in the Brazilian team. Who knows, maybe he'll come back with a sharper foot, although he's already playing very well.

Flamengo continues to expand its high-performance structure . The club invested $1 million (approximately R$5.35 million) in new equipment for Ninho do Urubu , including two pieces of equipment that are the first of its kind in Latin America, manufactured by Keiser, a global leader in physical training solutions.

FIRST WORLD EQUIPMENT

One of the highlights is the Keiser A300 Runner , designed to simulate the acceleration phase of running. Unlike traditional machines, which use iron weights, this model uses compressed air resistance , providing a smoother, jerk-free load, which reduces impact on joints during workouts.

Furthermore, the equipment allows for unilateral or bilateral training, helping to correct common muscular asymmetries in athletes. The integrated digital panel displays real-time data, such as applied load, power, and number of repetitions , allowing for more accurate analysis.

Another unique feature is the inertia-free technology, which prevents the weight from returning to the body at the end of the movement. This feature increases safety and reduces risks to muscles and joints, making the device useful for both explosive work and rehabilitation processes.

PAVANELLI HIGHLIGHTS INVESTMENT IN EXCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY

Flamengo coordinator on equipment: "These devices are the first in Latin America"

For Flamengo 's sports science coordinator, Cláudio Pavanelli, the investment places the club on a par with European football giants: "Some devices are specifically for athletes. They simulate the execution of a movement, a run, a sprint at high intensity. These devices are the first in Latin America. Only a few major European clubs have acquired this new technology ," he explained.

He continued: " The big difference is that you can analyze the application of force throughout the entire movement . At each joint level, you can identify exactly what is being performed, considering the applied overload and the speed of the movement." With the new investment, Flamengo reinforces its commitment to maintaining a level of physical excellence among its squad, combining performance and injury prevention.
