Flamengo is intensifying its efforts to identify African talents for its youth categories, seeking to discover them before European clubs even notice them. In this context, Nigerians Shola and Hassan have stood out as brilliant promises. Playing for Flamengo's Under-20s, they have impressed with their performance in the Under-20 Brasileirão.

Since the start of the competition, Shola and Hassan have been constant presences as starters in the team, demonstrating skill and determination in field. In four matches played so far, they have directly contributed to six of the eight goals scored by Flamengo, being fundamental players in the attack. Shola has accumulated three assists, in addition to a goal scored, while Hassan has already scored twice.

Hassan Haruna, who arrived at Flamengo in March this year on loan from XV de Piracicaba, has been particularly inspired by success of his compatriot Shola. Quickly adapting to Mais Querido's style of play, the striker shows a promising rise in Brazilian football.

In turn, Shola arrived at Flamengo in May 2023, bringing with him great expectations. Previously, the player had played for Remo Stars in his home country, establishing a promising path for other Nigerian talents to follow. His arrival not only strengthened Flamengo's Under-20 squad, but also opened doors to new international recruitment opportunities for the club.

This focus on identifying and developing African talent shows an innovative strategy on the part of Flamengo, seeking to secure young talents for the future. With Shola and Hassan leading the way, Flamengo demonstrates its determination to build a solid foundation while continuing to seek new opportunities for growth and success.

The latest controversy with Gabigol continues to give people something to talk about. The striker appeared in an image wearing the new Corinthians shirt, in a moment of leisure, and ended up angering Flamengo fans. The player's attitude was very bad. Many fans have been asking for his departure from the team where he was a hero in the last two Libertadores won by Mengão. Craque Neto, for example, said that he no longer plays with Tite.

The episode made the Rubro-Negro Carioca board speak out and punished Gabi. The 27-year-old player ended up losing his number 10 shirt, and now the number 99 will be on the back of his shirt.

As a result, many became curious about who would inherit the shirt. Names like Arrascaeta and De la Cruz started to gain strength. However, none of them should use the number that was already used by Zico. At least for now.

According to journalist Júlio Miguel Neto, in information also confirmed by Venê Casagrande, in conversation with a Flamengo leader, the shirt must remain vacant so as not to cause discomfort.

Miguel Neto also mentions that this should happen until Gabriel Barbosa leaves Mengão, which begins to gain strength with the most recent controversy. The information is that the cast didn't like the player's attitude at all.
