Flamengo's Deliberative Council approved, on Monday night, the extension of the contract with Adidas until December 2029. The previous contract with the German company, responsible for supplying sports equipment since 2013, would be valid until May next year.
The contract renewal was approved by the Deliberative Council with 159 votes in favor and two abstentions, with no votes against. The amounts to be received by Flamengo throughout the contract will be determined by the performance of sales in stores and the team's performance on the field.
The minimum guaranteed amount is R$57 million per season, with R$44 million coming from the minimum participation in sales and R$13 million from gloves. However, the variable value is expected to maintain earnings above this level.
Despite the reduction in the percentage that Flamengo receives on most products, the club maintained 35% of royalties on official shirts games, which represent approximately 80% of sales volume. Furthermore, the value of fixed gloves, independent of sales, increased from R$7 million to R$13 million annually.
CONTRACT FAVORABLE TO FLAMENGO
< This way, Flamengo will not suffer losses if it maintains the current sales volume of other products. The club's Marketing department believes, however, that, with the reduction in the club's profit margin, resellers will be more attracted to purchasing items other than official shirts, which could result in a reduction in the value per piece, but an increase in sales volume.
As for prizes, Flamengo could receive up to R$ 14.2 million if they win, in the same season, the Brasileirão and Libertadores titles for men and women, in addition of the Club World Cup for men.

The 2025/26 Italian Championship started this Saturday (23) with a former Flamengo player standing out. 21-year-old right-back Wesley scored for the first time in a Roma shirt and secured a 1-0 victory over Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico.
The goal came just seven minutes into the second half. After a play from the right, the ball fell to Wesley inside the box. The Brazilian made no mistake: he fired a right-footed shot past the goalkeeper and sealed the victory for Roma.
The match against Bologna was Wesley's third in a Giallorossa shirt. Before the official match, he played two preseason friendlies, against Lens and Aston Villa. In his Serie A debut, the player earned the coach's trust and was named in the starting lineup.
Wesley was traded to Flamengo in July of this year for a fixed fee of €25 million (approximately R$163 million) . The deal also includes bonuses for goals that can reach an additional €5 million (R$32 million). This makes the transaction the fourth-largest transfer in Flamengo's history, behind only the deals involving Vinicius Júnior, Lucas Paquetá, and Reinier.
