The Mais Querido do Brasil will carry out an operation to buy a striker who has been standing out a lot. This is Shola, a Nigerian who is just 19 years old and one of the highlights of the Flamengo U20 Libertadores champion over Boca Juniors (ARG).
He arrived by loan from Remo Stars (NIG) and with a purchase option valued at 450 thousand dollars (R$ 2.2 million at the current price). The report found that the young man's purchase will be made. Venê Casagrande reported last Sunday night (17), that CSKA (RUS) expressed interest in the striker and is even willing to pay more to have the player. They are willing to pay R$3.4 million.
But, Mengão has the purchase option established in the contract and will exercise it. The striker has become a favorite among the fans who follow the base and has everything he needs to gain professional chances very soon. Shola is well adapted to Rio de Janeiro and has shown a lot of happiness in his daily life at Mais Querido. Marcos Braz will come along to make another investment thinking about the present and also the future.
The player is already being monitored by some European clubs and the CRF will not miss this chance to keep him in order to earn a lot of money in the coming years. Shola shows a lot of desire on the field. He is still 'raw' in some moves, 100% due to his young age, but his technique draws everyone's attention.
As Flamengo is not stupid or anything, the purchase is already included in the budget and R$2.2 million is almost nothing for a Club that earns more than R$1 billion per year. He must sign a definitive contract for another 5 years.
Presenter says that the Mengão striker's case is very different from previous ones involving bets, but that the public was unable to understand

Flamengo's Bruno Henrique's suspension due to the betting case at the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) continues to be a hot topic among fans and sports commentators. The most notable aspect was the number of games he was suspended for: 12 matches, which experts consider low , especially compared to similar punishments in Brazilian soccer.
André Rizek on Bruno Henrique, from Flamengo: "What Bruno Henrique did is different"
The issue quickly gained prominence on sports programs and social media , raising discussions about the proportionality of the decision, especially considering the most recent cases involving sports betting in Brazil.
On SporTV, journalist André Rizek analyzed the case critically and highlighted that many comparisons are being made incorrectly: “There is confusion, as some people are using completely different cases to compare the punishment received by BH ,” he stated.
For Rizek, it's important to differentiate the type of infraction committed: "What's very clear to me is that it's not the same thing. What Bruno Henrique did is different from a player harming his own club, acting on behalf of a criminal organization to make a profit . These are different things that can't be lumped together," the journalist concluded.
Despite being suspended for 12 rounds in the Brasileirão, Bruno Henrique remains free to compete in the Libertadores , as the punishment only applies to competitions organized by the CBF (such as the Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil).
Journalist Venê Casagrande explained the situation: "Many people will ask: is there an appeal? Yes, there is. And Flamengo has already decided to appeal the decision because internally the club wasn't happy with the result. They understand that 12 games is a very severe punishment. It's worth remembering: the Libertadores isn't included because it's a CONMEBOL tournament ," he stated.

Corinthians officially renewed the contract of defender Gustavo Henrique , formerly of Flamengo, on Monday (08). The contract, which was due to end at the end of this year, now runs until December 31, 2027, guaranteeing at least two more seasons at the club.
Gustavo Henrique, ex-Flamengo, on renewing at Corinthians: "This means a lot"
Since joining the club in January 2024, Gustavo Henrique has played 56 games and scored four goals, being a regular starter in defense. The defender played a decisive role in winning the Campeonato Paulista this season and established himself as one of the leaders of Dorival Júnior's squad . With the new contract, only four remaining contractual obligations remain: Romero, Angileri, Maycon, and Talles Magno.
In an interview with the club 's official channel, the defender celebrated the renewal: "This means a lot. It's the continuation of a story and a long line of work. I'm very happy with the club's recognition. I'm privileged that they extended my contract . It's a very special moment, and I hope we continue to achieve our goals," he declared.
Before wearing the Corinthians shirt, Gustavo Henrique defended Flamengo between 2020 and 2022. In total, he played 88 matches, scored eight goals and won titles such as the Brasileirão (2020) , the Recopa Sul-Americana (2020), two editions of the Supercopa do Brasil (2020 and 2021) and two Campeonato Cariocas (2020 and 2021).
At the Rio de Janeiro club, he was led by Jorge Jesus, Domènec Torrent, Rogério Ceni, Renato Gaúcho, Paulo Sousa, and Dorival Júnior . Among them, Jesus, Renato, and Dorival were the ones who gave the defender the most confidence. He left in 2022.
Mengão recently reformulated the program for fans and achieved a significant increase compared to the pre-change period.

Flamengo is about to reach the milestone of 100,000 active members in its "Nação" program , which currently has over 95,000 members . This number represents an increase of about 30% since January, when the club had approximately 70,000 subscribers, according to journalist Venê Casagrande.
The increase in membership was driven by the launch of the new program in April, which highlighted the “ Nação Sem Fronteiras ” plan, aimed at fans from outside Rio de Janeiro or who do not regularly attend Maracanã.
With a symbolic value of R$19.81 per month, in honor of the 1981 world title , the plan offers advantages such as priority in purchasing tickets for games outside Rio, the right to purchase tickets for one game per year at Maracanã (except semifinals and finals) and discounts with commercial partners.
Traditional plans have been revamped in the "Maraca Nation" category, divided into three tiers with different prices and benefits . The focus is to offer priority and deeper discounts on ticket purchases for stadium games.
To democratize access, Flamengo has also reserved 10% of its ticket supply for members in categories 2 and 3 , ensuring they don't miss out on purchasing tickets. Within these plans, attendance will be one of the priority criteria.
