This Thursday (29), two very important news related to the Brazilian Championship were released. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) revealed all the clashes this season, as did denied the request of several clubs to interrupt the national competition during the course of the continental tournament. In this way, Flamengo, which is one of the Brazilian teams that always sends players to the Seleção, is affected.

Displayed in the United States, the Copa América 2024 takes place between June 20th and July 14th. Therefore, the Brasileirão will have seven rounds in this space. However, the players called up must present themselves up to a week before the selections, which includes another round. Furthermore, the finalists can also miss another round after the decision on American soil, totaling nine rounds in the middle of the Brazilian Championship.

Filipe Luís had a remarkable spell at Atlético de Madrid, where he was a key player in the Spanish team's defense, winning titles such as the Spanish Championship and the Europa League. His skill and consistency on the field earned him a place in the Brazilian team, for which he competed in World Cups and Copa América, winning titles and leaving his mark.


After a decade of success in Europe, Filipe returned to Brazil in 2019 to wear the Flamengo, your favorite club. O Flamengo enters the field again on Wednesday (22), against Amazonas, at the Arena da Amazônia, in the Copa do Brasil. Arrascaeta, an absolute starter for the red-and-black team under the command of coach Tite, is going through a drought in the team, in which he has not scored or assisted since March.

The last time Arrascaeta directly participated in a goal for Flamengo it was on March 9th, in the first semi-final of the Campeonato Carioca, against Fluminense. After that, the Uruguayan midfielder participated in nine other clashes, but failed.


During this period, Arrascaeta participated in plays in the offensive sector that resulted in goals. Furthermore, the Uruguayan midfielder suffered a penalty against Millonarios (COL), in Bogotá, in the first round of the Copa Libertadores de América, which was converted by center forward Pedro.

FLAMENGO SITUATION


After two matches without victories, Flamengo recovered this season with triumphs against Corinthians, 2-0, in the Brazilian Championship and against Bolívar (BOL), achieving a 4- 0, in a clash for the Copa Libertadores da América. The results eased fans' protests against the squad, board and coach Tite.

Now, Flamengo focuses on the Copa do Brasil. The red-black team faces Amazonas, in the second leg of the third phase of the national tournament. However, Mais Querido only needs a draw against the Amazonas, due to the victory in the first clash, in Rio de Janeiro.
