Flamengo product Reinier is definitely out of Real Madrid's plans. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the attacking midfielder will not be used in either the main squad or in Real Madrid Castilla , the B team managed by Álvaro Arbeloa. The publication defines the situation as "closed doors" for the player at the Merengue club. The youngster 's name was linked to Mengão at the end of April .
Even after his loan to Granada ended, Reinier was not called up by Xabi Alonso to return on June 9, the start of pre-season training. The player who emerged as one of the great promises of Brazilian football sees his European career coming to an end at the age of 23 .
With a contract until June 2026, Reinier is entering his final season under contract with Real Madrid . However, within the club, there is no expectation of his performance. The tendency is for him to be loaned out again, this time to a new destination that is yet to be defined. The player is currently on vacation in Brazil, while awaiting a definition for his future.
Last season, Reinier trained with the main squad, then managed by Carlo Ancelotti.
