CSKA Moscow, from Russia, sent an official letter to the Rio de Janeiro club expressing interest in signing the young athlete. Matheus, 18, is considered one of the brightest prospects in Flamengo 's youth academy, but he is struggling to gain a place in the professional squad led by Filipe Luís.
