Jojo Todynho, 28, spoke out about her weight loss process this Monday (24). The singer said, via Instagram, that she has been facing some challenges after bariatric surgery and responded to criticism from internet users saying that she only lost weight because she has money.
"Let's 'second' it straight? Every time I post a video encouraging people to take care of their health, to take care of their mind, to think about the future, to study. People say: 'With money it's easy'. Money is wonderful, it helps with a lot of things, without hypocrisy, but you also have to want this change", he began.
Jojo said she needed to take care of her health. "I have always been and will always feel like a fat woman, but I never stopped thinking I was hot, I never stopped wearing my bikini, when I realized that I was exploding, I said: 'No, it's not possible anymore'. I will continue to be beautiful, wonderful, hot, but let's take care of my health, because there's no point in me having money and not being healthy. I went there and made a change."
The artist asked people to stop being hypocrites. "Do you think that to have Patrícia Ramos' arms, Patrícia Ramos' legs, Juju Salimeni's butt and Gracyanne's abs I only need surgery? No, my love, I had the surgery, the doctor put everything back in place, but I don't go to the gym. So, stop being hypocritical and clownish. Saying: 'Now it's easy to talk', no my love. It all starts with wanting it", she said.
Todynho stated that everyone can change their reality: "If you were to calculate how many beers you drink on the weekend. During Carnival, everyone was in the block, everyone was on the avenue, everyone paid in installments. Can't you pay in installments to take care of your life? To take a course? Don't come up with cheap excuses, because those who want to change, change. Those who want to transform their reality, transform."
The singer talked about the challenges of the surgery. "Do you want to explode? Explode. Stuff your ass with burgers, drink a lot, go out there and do it. But don't try to blame others, say that 'it's easy, you're lucky because you had the surgery'. It's not easy. The surgery affects us in all ways. I'm a bariatric patient and I can't eat everything I want. Everything is legal, but not everything is appropriate. I want everything, but I can't do everything. So it's about wanting to change. It's about wanting to have a different reality", she said.
The artist concluded by saying that she pays the price every day. "Now, don't come here with that cheap excuse. Do you want to stay the same size? Keep going. Do you want to keep looking for excuses not to improve your future? Keep going. But don't come here saying it was easy, because it isn't. Nothing is easy in this life, everything has its price and I pay that price every day," she concluded.
