Conmebol announced this Monday (28) that the 2025 Libertadores final will be held in Lima , Peru, where Flamengo won the historic title in 2019 , led by Jorge Jesus . The decision will take place in a single game on November 29 , following the model adopted by the entity in recent years.
“The great Single Final of the CONMEBOL Libertadores 2025 will be in Lima! We will see you on November 29th to live together a new edition of Eternal Glory”, published Alejandro Domínguez , president of Conmebol.
The choice brings back fond memories for Flamengo fans. In 2019, Flamengo beat River Plate (ARG) 2-1 , with two goals from Gabigol, at the Monumental Stadium in Lima , and won the continental championship for the second time. If they advance to the final of this edition, the team can relive the scene of the historic victory.
So far, Flamengo has one win , one draw and one defeat in the group stage of the Libertadores. With four points, they are in third place in Group C. Their next challenge will be on May 7 , away from home, against leaders Central Córdoba (ARG).
Before returning to the continental competition , Flamengo is focusing on the Copa do Brasil . This Thursday (01), the team faces Botafogo-PB in the first leg of the third phase. The match will be played at the Castelão Stadium, in São Luís, at 9 pm (Brasília time) and will be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video (in streaming) for all of Brazil.

The Brazilian Championship is already past the halfway point, and the title race is starting to take on decisive proportions . Cruzeiro forward Kaio Jorge believes Flamengo and Palmeiras have a slight advantage due to their greater chemistry, but Palmeiras remains firmly in the running.
