Flamengo's board decided to postpone the meeting about Bruno Henrique's future at the team. The objective, at the moment, is for them to be 100% focused on hiring Tite, since replacing the coach is an emergency. The number 27's contract with Mais Querido ends in less than three months and he is being harassed by many clubs.
The meeting between Bruno Henrique's manager and the representatives of Flamengo's Football department, Marcos Braz (vice-president) and Bruno Spindel (general director), was scheduled to take place this Saturday (07), right before the match against Corinthians, for the Brasileirão, at 9 pm (Brasília time).
However, it was understood that it would be better to wait a little longer before closing the negotiation with the star, which made them move the conversation to another day. According to UOL, the meeting is rescheduled for the beginning of next week.
It is important to point out that the red and black board wants to keep Bruno Henrique in the squad, but, at the moment, it is more important, in the eyes of the directors, to ensure Tite's position. The former coach of the Brazilian national team seems to be right at the gates of Gávea and it is estimated that he will take command of the team on Monday (09).
Tite is important for the club to restructure, which is Rodolfo Landim's big plan at the end of 2023. After a long series of defeats and failures, it is essential that the team is able to prepare better for the next year and this includes several factors: a good performance in what remains of the Brazilian Championship, Tite participating in the formation of the new squad, renewing with idols from the fans, etc.
In the negotiation over the renewal of BH, it has already become clear that the leaders are willing to give in. If Flamengo decides to terminate Tite's contract, the club would have to pay the amount related to his salary until the end of his contract, which runs until December 2024.
