The player was called up by coach Aleksandar Petrovic, who also called him up for the national team for the first time, in 2018.
"We have a great chance of qualifying Our group is very strong and has qualified players. We have Raulzinho, Gui Santos, Yago, Bruno Caboclo… The team will have difficulties in the second phase against Latvia and Georgia. but we are going to look for this vacancy", he added.

FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.
The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. 23-year-old pivot is new to the Pride of the Nation

Flamengo announced another signing for the basketball squad for the 2024/25 season this Thursday (26) . The club officially announced the arrival of 23-year-old center Ítalo Honorato, who will complete the team.
Graduated in Corinthians' youth categories, Ítalo is coming off his most impressive season in the national basketball elite. He played 28 games in the NBB 23/24 for Cerrado, averaging 5.5 minutes per game, recording 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. The athlete stood out in the Development League, where he has played for Corinthians, Paulistano, São Paulo and Sociedade Thalia.
As he had already reached the quota of three foreign players, Flamengo turned its focus to the national market in search of another pivot. The choice of Ítalo Honorato represents a bet on a young talent that can be used as needed. The pivot's contract with FlaBasquete runs until the end of the year.
