Dynamo director admits Carrascal could leave Flamengo: “He may never return”

Flamengo is getting closer to signing another reinforcement for the season. Colombian midfielder Jorge Carrascal has an agreement in place with the Brazilian club and, according to Dynamo Moscow director Pavel Pivovarov, his permanence in the Russian team is increasingly unlikely. In an interview with the Russian website Tuss, the director commented on the situation of the player, who has not shown up for training.

“We are in contact with Jorge. We are waiting for his return. But it is possible that this will not happen, because there are also negotiations. CARRASCAL STOPS ATTENDING TRAINING

Last Wednesday (25), the Coluna do Fla portal had already anticipated that Jorge Carrascal had been absent from Dynamo's activities . The athlete's absence was later confirmed by representatives of the Russian club, this Thursday (26). According to official information, the midfielder is currently in Colombian territory and there is no confirmation about his return.

Jorge Carrascal began his professional career at Millonarios in Colombia and gained international recognition for his skill and versatility on the field. Playing as a playmaker and also on the wings, the player has played for clubs in Ukraine and Russia. At Dynamo Moscow since 2023, Carrascal has played 67 matches, scored eight goals and contributed eight assists — a performance that has once again caught the attention of South American football.

Flamengo hosted Cruzeiro this Thursday (2), at Maracanã, for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship, and the duel ended in a 0-0 draw. Despite the chances created, especially in the second half, goalkeepers Rossi and Cássio were protagonists and ensured the score was zero.

Flamengo started with more possession and offensive pressure, but couldn't convert their dominance into goals. Cruzeiro, on the other hand, leveled the scoreline and created the best chances of the first half , with Kaio Jorge and Christian both being saved by Rossi . The red-and-blacks' best chance came from Arrascaeta's header that went just wide of the post.

SECOND HALF HAS EXPULSION

The game picked up in intensity in the second half, with both teams pushing forward more. Flamengo nearly opened the scoring with shots from Samuel Lino, Plata, and Carrascal , but Cássio made crucial saves to keep Cruzeiro in the match.

In the 37th minute, right-back William received his second yellow card for a foul on Bruno Henrique and was sent off , leaving the Minas Gerais team with ten men. Even so, the Rubro-Negro team was unable to capitalize on their numerical superiority.
