After the duel between Flamengo and Palmeiras , held this Sunday (25) at Allianz Parque for the tenth round of the Brasileirão, the football director of the Rio de Janeiro club, José Boto, accused a member of the opposing board of directors of trying to invade the refereeing team's dressing room. Palmeiras vehemently refuted the statements. In a statement to the Lance! website , the São Paulo club stated that José Boto's statements do not correspond to reality and guaranteed that no director approached referee Ramon Abatti Abel. The referee, in turn, also did not report any unusual occurrence in the official match report.
In direct response, Anderson Barros, Palmeiras' football director, was incisive in refuting the accusations: “ If Boto said that, he's a liar. And I'm going to say that directly to him. Liar, ” he told the press, further inflaming tensions between the two directors behind the scenes.
