This Thursday (19), Flamengo beat Cruzeiro 2-0, at Mineirão, in a match valid for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship. With the result, Mais Querido entered the G4 and continues to strive to get a direct place in the 2024 Libertadores.
In Tite's debut, Flamengo went through some difficulties at the beginning, but with a great reading game, the new coach managed to make some adjustments that led Rubro-negro from Rio to improve in the game and score goals with Ayrton Lucas and Pedro.

This Thursday (19), Flamengo hosts Peñarol (URU) at Maracanã, at 7pm (Brasília time), in a match valid for the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores da América. In search of a good advantage for the second leg, coach Tite will have to deal with several important absences in the red and black squad.
Peñarol coach, Diego Aguirre, defined the starting lineup for the match decisive. With no important absences, the Uruguayan team takes to the field with: Aguerre; Léo Coelho, Javier Méndez, Guzmán Rodríguez; Pedro Milans, Eduardo Darías, Damián García, Javier Cabrera, Léo Fernández, Maximiliano Olivera; and Maximiliano Silvera.
Aguirre will have almost his entire squad at his disposal. The only player out of the match is Damian Suarez, who has not yet had his name regularized after his recent arrival at the Uruguayan club. This Thursday's clash is extremely important for the CRF. The Rio team needs a convincing victory to travel more calmly to Uruguay for the second leg, scheduled for September 26th. An impressive score at Maracanã would be essential to guarantee a solid advantage in the tie and ease the pressure for the second game.

De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
The Rubro-negra lineup follows:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. With the assist he provided, the Uruguayan equaled Dudu and is just nine passes behind Marcelinho Carioca, potentially becoming the greatest assist in the history of the competition.
With 68 assists, Arrascaeta is ahead of names like Scarpa , Everton Ribeiro and Zico in statistics. Playing in Brazilian football since 2015, when he arrived at Cruzeiro, the midfielder has already played 218 matches in the Brazilian Championship, 50 of which were assists with the Flamengo shirt. b>
Arrascaeta stands out not only for his assists, but also for his goals. With 55 goals scored, 36 with the Flamengo shirt, the Uruguayan has remained among the best players in the championship since his debut at Cruzeiro.
Champion in 2019 and 2020, the midfielder has been in three of the last five “ideal teams” in the championship. He is currently the third foreigner with the most goals in Brazilian football this century, with 113 goals, behind only Cano and Paolo Guerrero.
