Flamengo could be in big trouble, due to an incident that happened during a game against Santos, last week. The team was denounced by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) for inappropriate behavior by its fans, which could give Mais Querido up to ten matches without command of the field in the Brasileirão.

Elements of the Rubro-Negra Nation threw objects onto the lawn of the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, during the clash valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. The fact triggered the court that deals with sports matters of the most varied types. The trial is scheduled for November 21st (Tuesday), at 10:00 am (Brasília time).

In article 213, III, of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice, there is a quote in which Flamengo's problem can be applied, when a club “[fails] to take measures capable of preventing and repressing the launch of objects on the field or place of the sporting contest”. In other words, Mais Querido should have taken measures so that the fans could not even have the possibility of taking this action.

What happened was at the end of the second half, when the red and black fans threw glasses of water onto the pitch, following a corner kick from Santos. One of the objects even hit Bruno Henrique's face.

Thus, after the match, referee Rafael Rodrigo Klein reported what happened on the scoresheet:

“I inform you that, in the 44th minute of the second half, they were thrown towards the field game, bottles with unidentified liquid, coming from the place where the Flamengo fans were, not hitting anyone. I also report that, 50 minutes into the second half, bottles with unidentified liquid were thrown towards the playing field, coming from where the Flamengo fans were, hitting athlete number 03 of the C. R. Flamengo team, the mr. Rodrigo Caio”, he began.

“Finally, I report that, after the end of the game, when the referee team was heading to the access tunnel to the changing rooms, a plastic seat was thrown, as well as liquids not identified, towards the refereeing team, without hitting anyone”, he concluded.
