Last Wednesday (24), Flamengo suffered its first defeat in the Libertadores 2024, and was beaten by Bolívar 2-1. The result complicated – and greatly – the fight for first place in the group, and equaled the worst sequence of games without winning away from home in the history of the tournament.
The last away victory in the Copa Libertadores was in August 2022, in the 4-0 defeat of Vélez Sarsfield. Since then, there have been six matches away from home, with three defeats and three draws.
