With Flamengo's presidential elections scheduled for next Saturday (09), the atmosphere behind the scenes at the club is intense. This Monday (02), President Rodolfo Landim published an official note in which he criticizes opponents and a journalist for supposed "fake news" involving the election.
The current president denies having asked the Court for the club to be prevented from demanding identification for voting. In his note, Landim reinforced that many members do not have valid cards, as the club adopts digital facial and digital recognition systems. He also repudiated the dissemination of distorted information by a journalist.
ELECTIONS HAVE THREE CANDIDATES
The presidential election will be contested by Rodrigo Dunshee, supported by Landim, against Luiz Eduardo Baptista and Maurício Gomes de Mattos, representatives of the opposition. According to a journalist, the group in the situation had requested an injunction so that members eligible to vote could participate without having to present their social card.
On the other hand, Diogo Lemos, vice-president of the presidency's cabinet, clarified on social media that the objective is simply to ensure that members vote using an official document, as occurs in other elections in the Brazil.
LANDIM'S NOTE HIGHLIGHTS DEMOCRACY AND ACCUSATIONS AGAINST OPPOSITION
In his statement, Landim reiterated that the requirement for a valid card is a political measure, since the president of the General Assembly is a declared supporter of an opposition candidate. For him, the measure limits access to voting for some members.
The president also reinforced his commitment to democracy in the club and again criticized the journalist involved, claiming that the dissemination of false information harms Flamengo's associates and image.

Flamengo idol Adriano Imperador stated in an interview that he played more than some of the biggest names in world football. With a career marked by talent, physical strength, and humility , "Didico" continues to be fondly remembered by Flamengo fans.
During an appearance on the show Boteco do Chula, Adriano was asked if he had performed at a higher level than stars like Ronaldo, Romário, Ibrahimovic, Mbappé, Lewandowski, and Gabigol . The former player candidly stated that he considers himself superior to some of them.
In the Emperor's opinion, Kyllian Mbappé, Robert Lewandowski, and Gabigol are behind him . However, according to Adriano himself, Romário, Ibrahimovic , and Ronaldo Fenômeno are in a higher tier.
