The Nation was surprised at the beginning of the week with news about Wesley's extra-field action. Businessman Kaio Mana claims to have been attacked and threatened by Flamengo's defender in a kiosk in RJ. Before taking any internal measures, the club awaits the progress of the investigations. This is not usually Flamengo's attitude in off-field situations. When a player gets involved in situations like this, the red and black board chooses to respond with warnings and punishments for the athlete. However, according to GE, the club decided to proceed this way at the moment.

Flamengo awaits the development of the investigations, as the case is still recent. As the GE found, the delegate in charge of the case opened a request to investigate the security cameras at the location. Wesley has also been subpoenaed to testify.

A financial punishment, that is, deducting directly from the player's salary, was not ruled out. At Flamengo, Marcos Braz is leading the episode and has already spoken with Wesley. However, the full-back prefers not to disclose his version publicly yet. Investigations must be completed within one month.

Kaio Mana opened a police report after what happened with Wesley, on Sunday (10). According to the businessman's defense, the player allegedly punched him in the face during an argument at a kiosk in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio. The whole situation happened after Wesley accused Kaio of having taken a photo of him without authorization. Visibly attacked, the businessman filed a criminal complaint with the IML to increase the case against the right-back.

Going through difficult times outside the field, Wesley is unlikely to be available to play against Fluminense on Saturday (16). But the decision has nothing to do with the case of aggression against businessman Kaio Mana. The full-back is recovering from a minor muscle injury and is away from group activities at Ninho do Urubu. Wesley has not been linked since February 25th.

Check it out:
