Since arriving at Flamengo in 2022, Erick Pulgar has collected achievements such as the Libertadores, the Campeonato Carioca and two Copa do Brasil titles. However, 2024 marked a special moment in the Chilean's career: his 100th game for Mais Querido. Before the 2-2 draw with Vitória at Maracanã, Pulgar was honored by president Rodolfo Landim, football vice Marcos Braz and executive director Bruno Spindel.

After the match, Pulgar used his social networks to thank the fans and reinforce his commitment to the CRF. "Reach 100 games representing Flamengo, a club full of history, passion and greatness, is very meaningful to me. This achievement would not be possible without the unconditional support of you, fans", highlighted the midfielder.

Pulgar also highlighted the challenges and learnings throughout his career at Mengão, in addition to promising dedication to seeking new titles. "Every scream and every song was an immense motivation to continue growing. Wearing this sacred mantle is a pride that I carry with a heart full of gratitude."

RENEWAL CONTRACTUAL UNDER DISCUSSION

With a contract in force until December 2025, Erick Pulgar is already in negotiations to renew his contract with Flamengo. The board seeks to ensure the permanence of one of the pillars of the red and black squad, aiming for continued success in future competitions.

This Sunday (17), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time) , Mengão visits Internacional at Beira-Rio for the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship Series A. Flamengo arrives at the clash with 40 points in 17 games , occupying the leadership of the competition.

Cruzeiro, with 37 points from 19 matches, is the only team that can get closer in the standings this round . Internacional, meanwhile, has 24 points and sits in 11th place before kick-off. This is a crucial matchup for both teams.

PROBABLE LINEUP

According to the week's training sessions, Flamengo 's likely lineup is: Rossi; Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas; Allan, Jorginho and Arrascaeta; Luiz Araújo, Samuel Lino (Cebolinha) and Pedro.

EMERSON ROYAL IS OUT

Coach Filipe Luís is expected to make changes to the lineup, as has been common during his tenure. Emerson Royal sprained his left ankle during last Wednesday's game (13) at Maracanã and is unable to play. Varela will be the replacement at right-back and is expected to take over the position.

EXPECTATION OF RETURN

Another point of concern is De La Cruz's situation. The midfielder has been sidelined since July due to left knee pain , but he's expected to be included on the bench, having traveled south with the Mais Querido team.
