On loan from Flamengo to Juventude , striker Petterson has once again faced off-field problems. According to the 'RTI Esporte' website, the 21-year-old player was suspended for disciplinary reasons , including being late for training and not being committed to activities. He is unlikely to wear the shirt of the Rio Grande do Sul club again.
With a contract with Flamengo until December 2027, Petterson also had a loan deal with Juventude until the end of 2025. However, a continuation with the Caxias do Sul team is practically ruled out. The last time he was included was on April 26, without leaving the bench in the defeat to Internacional . His last appearance on the field was on the 5th of the same month, against Botafogo , in the Brasileirão .
This is not the first time that the striker has faced this type of situation. In February 2023, during his time at Athletico-PR , he was also suspended for indiscipline . On that occasion, he played only one match and scored a goal before being punished and no longer playing for the Paraná club.
Revealed in the youth ranks of Flamengo , where he reached the under-15 level, Petterson only played eight games for the professional team. In addition to his spells at Athletico-PR and Juventude, the player had a brief stint at Estrela Amadora , in Portugal , where he played seven games. In 2022, he was close to an agreement with Barcelona, but a punishment imposed by UEFA prevented the transfer from being completed.
While waiting for Petterson to return to discuss his future , Flamengo returns to the field this Wednesday (21), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Botafogo-PB , at Maracanã, for the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. As they won the first leg 1-0, the team led by Filipe Luís will play for a draw to guarantee a place in the round of 16 of the competition. The match will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Mengão goes to Fortaleza to face Vozão in the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship and seeks victory to remain at the top of the competition.

Flamengo takes to the field this Sunday (3) to face Ceará, at Arena Castelão, in Fortaleza, for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship. Leader of the competition with 36 points, Rubro-Negro seeks another victory to maintain the good phase. Ceará, 9th place with 21 points, tries to surprise at home and get closer to the G-6.
In the previous round, Flamengo beat Atlético-MG 1-0, while Ceará defeated Cruzeiro 2-1 . Filipe Luís's team has won four and lost one of its last five matches. Their opponents have won three and lost two in the same period.
Fans will have three options to watch the match : Record TV on broadcast television or Cazé TV on YouTube, both offering free streaming, while Premiere will broadcast the match on pay-per-view. Rede Globo will not broadcast the match.

Fortaleza announced this Friday (1st) the amicable termination of the contract with defender David Luiz , who will now continue his career at Pafos FC , a team in the first division of Cyprus. The defender had signed with the Ceará club at the beginning of 2024, after ending his stint at Flamengo.
His departure comes after just 16 appearances for the Tricolor, 13 of which he started . His last appearance was on June 12th, in a 3-2 loss to Santos in the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship. On that occasion, David Luiz played the full 90 minutes.
His brief time at Fortaleza was marked by recurring physical problems , which, while not serious, prevented him from playing regularly. Even so, the 38-year-old opted to waive the remaining balance of his contract, which ran until the end of 2026, to accept the Cypriot football club's offer. His contract with Pafos FC will last three seasons.
With his move to Cyprus, David Luiz now has eight clubs in his career: Vitória, Benfica, Chelsea, PSG, Arsenal, Flamengo, Fortaleza and, now, Pafos. For Flamengo , the club he defended between 2021 and 2024, the defender played 132 matches , scored four goals and provided two assists. He won the Libertadores (2022), the Copa do Brasil (2022 and 2024) and the Campeonato Carioca (2024).
