Football fans in Brazil are known for their passion and fervor, but each one has its own particularities. Recently, former Flamengo player Vagner Love offered an intriguing insight into the differences between Flamengo and Corinthians fans. In an interview with ge, Love highlighted different behavioral aspects between the two fans, highlighting how these characteristics influence the dynamics of the games and the relationship with the players and the coaching staff.

According to Love, the Flamengo fans is known for throwing a spectacular party when the team is winning. Maracanã turns into a true cauldron, with chants, flags and a contagious energy that drives the team on the field. "The difference between the fans of Flamengo for Corinthians it's this: Flamengo fans, when the team is winning, throw that beautiful party", said the striker.

A VIEW FROM OUTSIDE THE CLUB

< However, that same passion can turn into impatience when the results are not positive. Love highlighted that Flamengo fans do not hesitate to boo during the game and curse the coach if the performance does not live up to expectations. This constant pressure can be a challenge for players and coaching staff, who have to deal with intense pressure from the fans.

The attitude of the fans can have a significant impact on the team's performance. In Flamengo, Intense pressure can act as an additional motivator for players to do their best. However, it can also generate pressure that, at critical moments, negatively affects the athletes' psychology.

The elimination of the Libertadores last Thursday (26) shook the structures of Flamengo. Now, the squad is trying to overcome the atmosphere of discouragement that took hold behind the scenes before the matches against Athletico-PR, in the Brasileirão, and Corinthians, in the Copa do Brasil.

The team's re-presentation on Friday (27), after the fall in Uruguay, it occurred amid “silence”. According to information from ‘Coluna do Fla’, the players barely spoke to each other upon returning to the CT. Thus, the feeling of disappointment dominated the activities, both of the regenerating starters and the reserves on the field.

Tite and his coaching staff are now looking to regain the squad's focus for the remainder of the season. Flamengo has two games scheduled in less than seven days after elimination. Rubro-Negro will face Athletico-PR this Sunday (29), in the 28th round of the Brasileirão, and Corinthians on Wednesday (02), in the semi-final of the Copa do Brasil.

Resumption in the Brasileirão and in the Copa do Brasil

With 45 points and in fourth place, Flamengo hasn't won in three rounds in the Brasileirão and sees the distance to leader Botafogo increase to 12 points. Therefore, this Sunday's match (29) is crucial for Tite's aspirations in the competition.

Flamengo's campaign in the Copa do Brasil has been positive. After eliminating Amazonas, Palmeiras and Bahia, Rubro-Negro prepares to face Corinthians and reaches the semifinals with the spirit of two victories in the quarterfinals. However, the team's morale is not the best. Flamengo x Athletico-PR

In the “eye of the storm”, the game against Athletico -PR will be Flamengo's first after their elimination in the Libertadores. The match is scheduled for 8pm (Brasília time) this Sunday (29), at Maracanã.

In an official note released this Saturday on social media, the president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo, criticized the CBF for changing the date of the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final against Flamengo. The match, initially scheduled for the 17th of October, a Thursday, was moved to the 20th, Sunday.

The games in the Series A round, which would take place on the 19th and 20th of October and involve the semi-finalists of the Copa do Brasil, will be brought forward to the 16th and 17th of October. The change came after a request from Flamengo, which was rejected by Corinthians in an official letter when consulted by the CBF.

< Finally, Augusto Melo stated in the note that the decision harms Brazilian football in general. The first leg of the semi-final against Flamengo will be next Wednesday, at 9:45 pm, at Maracanã.

Check out Corinthians' note in full:

“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista expresses its deep indignation with the decision of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to change the date of the return game of the semi-final of Brazilian Cup. Such a decision, in addition to being an affront to the previously established calendar, disrespects not only Corinthians, but also the competition as a whole.

It is unacceptable that, in a competition of such relevance, decisions are taken favoring a club to the detriment of others, especially when it has already been widely publicized that Corinthians competes in three competitions simultaneously, and any change generates serious damage to our sporting planning. Respecting the pre-stipulated schedule should be a priority for the CBF, which, unfortunately, demonstrates, once again, a lack of commitment to equity and transparency.

Corinthians cannot passively accept that changes are made to meet individual interests, putting the integrity of the competition and the performance of the teams involved at risk. Our institution had formally expressed its opposition to any modification, as detailed in the letter sent to the CBF, and the unilateral decision to accept a request from another club, without considering the negative impacts on our planning, is clear disrespect.

This type of attitude hurts the credibility of Brazilian football. Corinthians will continue to fight for football to be treated with justice and equality, without favors or external interference that compromise the integrity of the competitions.

Augusto Melo

President of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista”
