Flamengo, after winning the Copa do Brasil, remains firm in the race for the title Championship Brazilian. Despite some speculating that the team could slow down in the final rounds of the competition, coach Filipe Luís showed confidence in his players' attitude and demanded focus until the end of the season.
In a press conference after the victory over Cuiabá on Wednesday (20), Filipe Luís sent a clear message to his athletes. The red-and-black commander made it clear that, even after winning one of the biggest national titles, the team cannot relax in the last games of the Brasileirão.
“I don't see any other way to live other than giving my best, in everything. Try to win. That's me. I communicate with my players that I do not allow relaxation. It's a training culture that I learned from Simeone, he transformed my life, I won't accept anyone relaxing. And they won't relax. I didn't even need to speak. The training sessions during the week were very good”, said the coach.

Filipe Luís also highlighted the importance of the constant demands that Flamengo face. According to him, the "big team culture" requires athletes to always be at their best, especially in the most challenging moments of the season. “When you play in a big team, the virtue you have is that you are demanded every second to the maximum, because otherwise you are demanded. And they know it. They've been here a long time. They've already been through this”, added the coach.
BRAZIL POST-CUP: DEMANDS CANNOT DECREASE
The coach also recalled that, in clubs the size of Flamengo, demands are constant and the team cannot let its guard down, even after great achievements. Filipe Luís mentioned the example of Rodinei, who, despite his victories in 2019, suffered criticism from the fans. “We saw boos after winning the Brazilian Championship and the Libertadores in 2019 for Rodinei. At this club we can never let our guard down. We could have lost the game, but the attitude I saw from my field, that's what I want. It’s not easy to play here, the heat, the travel, and the attitude was ideal”, he concluded.
Leão goes to Maracanã to face Mengão defending a long period of invincibility and being able to enter the G4 of the Brasileirão

Flamengo and Mirassol face each other this Saturday (09), at 6:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the 19th round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro arrives at the clash after being eliminated in the Copa do Brasil, with the mission of winning to maintain the leadership of the competition. On the other side, they will have an opponent motivated by a campaign above all expectations .
Flamengo has 37 points, the same number as Cruzeiro, but leads on goal difference (24 to 19) and still has a game in hand over the Minas Gerais team. A victory at Maracanã will guarantee the Rio de Janeiro club the top of the table at the end of the first round .
Mirassol, meanwhile, is the big revelation in this Série A. In its debut season, the São Paulo team sits fifth with 28 points— the result of seven wins, seven draws, and only two losses in 16 matches . Interestingly, it's the team with the fewest losses in the championship, along with Flamengo . With a victory, the newcomer could enter the top four of the competition.
If Flamengo wins this Saturday, it will end Mirassol's three-month unbeaten streak. The São Paulo team's last loss was to Red Bull Bragantino on May 5th . Since then, Rafael Guanaes's team has won six and drawn three, with an impressive 77% success rate.
Initial projections pointed to a relegation battle, due to an experienced squad, an average age over 29, and several well-known names, such as midfielder Gabriel, formerly of Flamengo . However, the team's performance in the first round exceeded expectations: third-best attack (27 goals) and sixth-best defense (16 conceded), in addition to good results against more popular opponents.
Despite this, the strategy against Flamengo should follow the usual visiting team strategy at Maracanã: a defensive posture, deep lines, and a reliance on counterattacks . Flamengo, in turn, should control possession and look for spaces to create the chances that will secure the victory.

This Friday (8), Vitória confirmed the arrival of left-back Ramon Ramos , who is on loan from Internacional until the end of the 2025 season . The signing aims to fill the gap left by the serious ankle fracture of Jamerson, the starter in the position.
At 24 years old, Ramon played 12 games for Colorado this season , but lost his place after the arrival of coach Roger Machado. Discovered by Flamengo , the athlete has spells at clubs such as RB Bragantino, Olympiacos (Greece), Espanyol (Spain) and Cuiabá, but was unable to establish himself definitively in the professional ranks.
Signed by Internacional in early 2025, Ramon left the Rio Grande do Sul club after a limited run of appearances and without contributing directly with goals or assists. His last official match was on June 12 , making the loan to Vitória an opportunity to regain confidence and performance.
Raised at Flamengo , Ramon was a promising youngster but didn't achieve the same level of success as a professional. In 2023, the full-back was sold to Olympiacos for €1.5 million (approximately R$8 million at the time), but he is still seeking stability in his career.
With Jamerson out for a long time due to a serious injury, coach Fábio Carille was relying solely on young Maykon Jesus at left-back. Ramon's arrival could bring experience and quality to the team , which is looking to escape the relegation zone in the Brazilian Championship.

Tarot reader Luiz Filho, responsible for the channel “Renascer das Cartas”, carried out a spiritual analysis of the next duel between Mirassol and Flamengo, scheduled for Saturday (10), for the Brazilian Championship. According to the cards consulted, the game promises to be open, with chances of goals for both teams, and a slight favoritism for the team from Rio de Janeiro , as long as they know how to capitalize on the opportunities that arise during the 90 minutes.
For the Mais Querido, the "Lovers" and "3 of Cups" cards were associated with clarity of decision-making, positive transformations, and greater collective harmony. Luiz Filho interprets these signs as an indication that Flamengo will be able to make the right choices during the match , improve its ball possession, and execute its offensive attacks more efficiently.
“ Flamengo , with some changes and choices, can evolve in the game, something they have been striving for a lot, ” highlighted the tarot reader, who also stressed the need for an expressive performance for the team to establish itself.
For Mirassol, the "Death" card was interpreted as an indication of challenges and changes that could hinder the São Paulo team's performance. Although the team is resolutely attacking, Luiz Filho warned of potential defensive weakness, with plenty of space open to the opponent.
The card representing the match as a whole was number "4," signaling a close encounter in which both teams should launch attacks , providing a dynamic spectacle and scoring opportunities for both sides. However, the cards indicating Flamengo 's performance showed more promising aspects, suggesting a slight favoritism for the Rio de Janeiro team.
