Flamengo, always focused on developing new talents in its youth categories, announced the repatriation of Rafael Tenório, a striker who stood out as runner-up in the last Copa Rio U-15. At the age of 15, the player signed a training contract with Rubro-Negro, valid until 2027, after showing an impressive performance in the competition.
The Scout Department of Flamengo, in collaboration with other areas of the club, closely monitored Rafael Tenório's performance during the Copa Rio U-15. Tenório played for Resende, who finished fifth, behind only the four big clubs in Rio de Janeiro, with 18 points in 11 games. This performance caught the attention of Flamengo's scouts, who saw great potential in the young striker for the club's future.
A FORMER ACQUAINTANCE
Resende, the club for which Rafael played, had em Tenório his main offensive highlight. He scored 10 of the team's 22 goals in the competition, accounting for almost half of the team's goals. The young striker demonstrated excellent passing quality and precision in finishing, especially from medium and long distances. These skills were fundamental to their high performance in the tournament.
For comparison purposes, Flamengo's main scorers in the same competition were Emanuel, with six goals, and Luiz Guilherme, with five. This further highlights the ability of Rafael Tenório, who surpassed the numbers of Flamengo's own players. This superiority on the field meant that the Rio club did not hesitate in repatriating the striker to its youth teams.

the goalkeepers, defender Iago, team captain, left-back Rayan Lucas and João Alves, Guilherme and strikers Shola and Felipe Teresa were in last year's victorious campaign, when the nest boys defeated 2-1 Boca Juniors-ARG, in the final.
Experienced, Carbone played as a defender in four of last year's five Libertadores last year. Versatile, he has played as left-back and has been one of the main pillars of the team. The 20 -year -old is confident of another victorious campaign.
- I am vying for Libertadores for the second time. It's a great experience for being the biggest base championship in South America. We arrived well to the semifinals, once again unbeaten, as last year. We hope to continue at this high pace in the next games to hit champion again - says Carbone, keeping an eye on the next opponent:
Flamengo has promising strikers. Author of two goals in the group stage, Felipe Teresa fought himself as a starter alongside Nigerian Shola, who scored one of the goals against Boca Juniors, in the decision of Libertadores 2024. Despite playing in just one game in the previous edition of the competition, Teresa entered the story by scoring the goal of the world title under the second half, in the Olympiacos victory in Maracanã, August 2024. The top scorer promises a lot of commitment to arrive again in the final.
- I'm disputing Libertadores once again. It is very rewarding. We will work hard for the next challenge against the Danubio team. We have already faced this team in the group stage and we know it will be a very difficult game. The coaching staff is in the passers the positives and negatives of the opponent for us to work and we will do our best to achieve our biggest goal that is the title - finished the 7th of the U -20 team of Mengão.
