After beating Bahia 1-0 last Saturday (10), at Maracanã , in the eighth round of the Brazilian Championship , Flamengo's squad had a day off on Sunday (11) and will return this Monday (12), at Ninho do Urubu. The focus now is totally on preparing for the decisive duel against LDU , for the Libertadores .
The reappearance is scheduled for this Monday morning, when coach Filipe Luís will begin work aiming at the match on Thursday (15), also at Maracanã, valid for the fifth round of the group stage of the continental competition.

The crisis between Flamengo and Libra gained a new episode this Tuesday (30). Palmeiras president Leila Pereira harshly criticized the Rio de Janeiro club's stance and even suggested the creation of a new league that would not include the team with the largest fan base in the country. The director mocked the possibility of the Red-Black team playing without rivals: "Palmeiras doesn't play alone, Flamengo doesn't play alone. Only if they want to play against their U-20 team. I want to see the viewership they'll get ," she teased. For Leila, Flamengo's attitude doesn't strengthen Brazilian football. "Managers with this mentality don't enhance our product at all," she concluded.
The trigger for the dispute was Flamengo 's decision to appeal to the Rio de Janeiro courts to prevent Rede Globo from transferring R$77 million to Libra clubs, relating to the audience clause in the Brasileirão broadcast contract .
According to Rubro-Negro, the revenue distribution model, especially the 30% linked to the audience , is unfair and could generate losses exceeding R$100 million per season compared to the agreement valid until 2024.
In an official statement, the club stated that it sought dialogue but encountered "intransigence" from the other members of Libra. The board, now led by Luiz Eduardo Baptista (BAP), argues that legal action is necessary to ensure that " the history and value of each club are recognized in a fair and balanced manner ." The Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice's decision even blocked the portion allocated to Flamengo itself, which generated a strong backlash behind the scenes.
In addition to Palmeiras, São Paulo and Atlético-MG also openly criticized Flamengo's move, calling it detrimental to Brazilian football . Libra itself released an official statement condemning the move and vowed to fight in court to maintain its current contract.
