The player even revealed the situation in an interview after the rubro-negro penta.
"It was difficult (the year). I'm with a meniscus injury, I'm going to have to have an arthroscopic surgery next week. It's a bit limiting in my daily life, in training. with a little pain. I tried to help my companions in the best way possible and I feel accomplished", he said.
RETURN ONLY IN 2025
Due to knee surgery, Arrascaeta should take at least a month to fully recover and return to the field. With the season ending on December 8th, the tendency is for the midfielder to return only in 2025.

Without Arrascaeta, Flamengo returns to the field this Wednesday night- fair (13), when it hosts Atlético-MGfor the 33rd round of the Brasileirão. The match will be at 8pm, at Maracanã.
