According to the O Globo columnist, after the contract signed with Betano, Flamengo understood that there was a need to review the amounts to be paid in the agreement between Adidas and the club to adjust to the new financial reality of Mengão , which now has the largest master sponsorship contract in the country again.
In 2024, Flamengo and Adidas renewed the sponsorship contract, which has been in place since 2013, until the end of 2029 and could bring in around R$70 million reais per year to Mais Querido , paid in three installments of minimum guarantees, in addition to bonuses in the event of titles, which could make the value reach R$90 million.
The 33-year-old midfielder, an important player in Filipe Luís's team, could return to defend Italy in the next FIFA World Cup under Gattuso's command.

Flamengo's lawyers are awaiting the publication of the ruling in Bruno Henrique's trial at the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) to file a request for a stay of execution. The striker was suspended for 12 matches by the First Disciplinary Committee, a decision made by a majority vote (4-1).
The punishment is effective immediately, making the player unavailable until a decision is made on appeals from both the defense and the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) Prosecutor's Office. Bruno Henrique was charged under Article 243-A of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD), accused of manipulation by forcing a yellow card in the 2023 match against Santos at Mané Garrincha Stadium, for the Brazilian Championship.
Flamengo 's legal department is expected to submit the request for a stay of execution in the coming days. If accepted by the reporting auditor or the STJD Plenary, Bruno Henrique will be able to return to the field before the final judgment on the appeal.
Internally, the expectation is that the appeal will have a chance of success, as there was disagreement among the auditors about the statute of limitations on the complaint. Therefore, there is a possibility that the striker will be cleared to face Juventude next Sunday (September 14th), in the 23rd round of the Brasileirão.
For the lawyers, the situation creates the following contradiction: "How can Bruno Henrique be innocent of harming Flamengo, but guilty of influencing the outcome of the same game?" The auditors who voted for the conviction argued that, given a CBJD that was out of date with regard to sports manipulation, the best solution was to classify the conduct under the article on violation of "sports ethics ."
