Flamengo's board has been working to seek new reinforcements in the middle of this year. President Rodolfo Landim wants to win the main titles before ending his last term at the Club. Marcos Braz, vice-president of Flamengo football, has the support to look for the best players who are within Mengão's financial budget. The idea is to bring up to four new athletes.

Departures can also happen, but Mengão's idea is not to lose any important athlete from the squad. There are surveys for players like Ayrton Lucas and Fabrício Bruno, but without any new proposals.

For the midfield, Rubro-Negro will seek a loan from Reinier Jesus, created by the Club's youth team and who belongs to Real Madrid. The athlete is still trying to find his place in Europe, but without success so far.

As he has a good relationship with Florentino Pérez, Mengão will seek an agreement with the Merengues to get his son back, given that the athlete could be a good option for the offensive system. The president of Madrid is willing to close a deal with Rubro-Negro.

Reinier Jesus shone at Flamengo in 2019 and was compared by Jorge Jesus with Kaká, the last Brazilian football player. gold, five-time world champion with the Brazilian team and who was an idol for Milan, Italy.

Unlike Vinicius Júnior, Reinier was soon loaned out when he arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu. He went to Borussia Dortmund, where he played little, and is currently at Frosinone, in Italy. Fla will try to sign him because they understand that he can be very useful. Reinier is only 22 years old, he is still a boy and he can make a comeback by playing for Flamengo, where he knows everyone.

In an official note released this Saturday on social media, the president of Corinthians, Augusto Melo, criticized the CBF for changing the date of the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final against Flamengo. The match, initially scheduled for the 17th of October, a Thursday, was moved to the 20th, Sunday.

The games in the Series A round, which would take place on the 19th and 20th of October and involve the semi-finalists of the Copa do Brasil, will be brought forward to the 16th and 17th of October. The change came after a request from Flamengo, which was rejected by Corinthians in an official letter when consulted by the CBF.

Finally, Augusto Melo stated in the note that the decision harms Brazilian football in general. The first game of the semifinal against Flamengo will be next Wednesday, at 9:45 pm, at Maracanã.

Check out Corinthians' score in full:

“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista expresses its deep indignation with the decision of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to change the date of the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final. Such a decision, in addition to being an affront to the previously established calendar, disrespects not only Corinthians, but also the competition as a whole.

It is unacceptable that, in a competition of such relevance, decisions are taken favoring a club to the detriment of others, especially when it has already been widely publicized that Corinthians competes in three competitions simultaneously, and any change generates serious damage to our sporting planning. Respecting the pre-stipulated schedule should be a priority for the CBF, which, unfortunately, demonstrates, once again, a lack of commitment to equity and transparency.

Corinthians cannot passively accept that changes are made to meet individual interests, putting the integrity of the competition and the performance of the teams involved at risk. Our institution had formally expressed its opposition to any modification, as detailed in the letter sent to the CBF, and the unilateral decision to accept a request from another club, without considering the negative impacts on our planning, is clear disrespect.

This type of attitude hurts the credibility of Brazilian football. Corinthians will continue to fight for football to be treated with justice and equality, without favors or external interference that compromise the integrity of the competitions.

The change in the date of the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final continues to generate repercussions behind the scenes at the clubs. In addition to Corinthians, Vasco also spoke out against the decision of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Pedrinho, president of the Rio team, harshly criticized the entity, claiming that Flamengo was favored with the change.

On their social networks, Vasco released a video in which Pedrinho takes a position on the CBF's decision. The director of the Cruzmaltino club stated that the highest entity of Brazilian football sent a letter communicating the change of dates, without even consulting the team about what they thought of the change.

Pedrinho also expressed his dissatisfaction with the attitude of the CBF, highlighting that Vasco faced Athletico-PR in the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil with players returning from the national teams just one day before the match. According to him, this new change will benefit both Flamengo and Atlético-MG.

CHECK OUT PEDRINHO'S SPEECH:

"First, the CBF enters We contacted Vasco through a letter asking about changing the date of the game. We immediately denied this request, even offering an alternative to change it to the 16th, an advance of one day. And the CBF completely ignores Vasco's refusal. and it overrides this, given that Vasco played in an identical situation with some players returning in the early hours of the day of the game against Athletico-PR, so this completely calls into question the CBF's decision making. The opponent is benefiting because Vasco played. with players who arrived tired from their travels, serving their teams. That's very clear to me.

The other point is the following: all that's left is for the opponent to choose the referee for the game. the CBF completely loses credibility with this decision. Vasco does not want to benefit, Vasco wants justice. And it's not being fair. Because the situation is similar to what Vasco faced. Today Atlético-MG and Flamengo are benefiting from this CBF decision. Vasco is outraged by the CBF's decision. I even spoke to Mr. Júlio Avelar on the phone who did not agree with the situation of changing dates and championships, bringing forward the Brazilian Championship and pushing the Copa do Brasil to the weekend. So here is the repudiation and obviously the indignation of the Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama."

UNDERSTAND THE CHANGE

Initially, the CBF had established the days October 2nd and 17th as dates for the Brazilian Cup semi-final games. However, due to the FIFA Date, Flamengo and Atlético-MG requested the entity to change the day of the second leg.

In compliance. following requests, the CBF announced last Saturday (28) that the second game of the semi-final between Flamengo and Corinthians will be held on October 20, three days after the originally scheduled date. Vasco will face Atlético-MG on the 19th of the same month. .

Reinier's possible return to Flamengo is very difficult to happen at the moment. According to journalist Mauro Cezar Pereira, the player decided that he wants to continue insisting on shining in European football. On the other hand, Rubro-Negro is also not excited about trying to sign him.

“I looked for information and what I found out from very reliable sources is that Reinier is not in the plans. At this moment, Reinier is not in Flamengo's plans. Flamengo doesn't think about the player, they don't think about bringing him. Will not happen. He is a young player, who from what I know, wants to insist on Europe. He wants to win in Europe”, said Mauro Cezar Pereira on his YouTube channel.

Mauro praised Reinier's technical quality, but drew attention to the difficulty the young man is trying in the Old Continent. The midfielder returns to Real Madrid, after his loan to Frosinone, in Italy:

“He had a certain difficulty, but he couldn't achieve success. He's a good player, but he hasn't really taken off yet. Flamengo will not make an attack, at least at this moment. It's not in the plans to try Reinier, who is Fla's offspring and was sold to Real Madrid for 35 million euros", he concluded.

"That has to be left with the president, we talked there about my family, I know his whole family. I'm very happy to see our president. He said I have to go back, but we leave that later, he is the one in charge of everything. He’s the boss”, said Reinier, in an interview with Paparazzo Rubro Negro channel, after Flamengo’s victory against Millonarios.
